Hey y’all. It’s Chef Lala and I’m back with another Taco Tuesday! Sure you’ve had tacos before, but have you had my Southern Tacos loaded with crispy fried catfish, fried shrimp, or juicy fried chicken? Served up with red beans and rice and a drizzle of that Jusla hot sauce?

What about a Shrimp & Crab Quesadilla made with large shrimp and lump crab meat that’s pure seafood bliss? And then there’s the special, my Chopped Cheese Crunchwrap.

Think fast food but waaay better. It’s made with my chopped cheese filling, fresh pico de gallo, lettuce, and that crispy center tortilla that gives it that CRUNCH!

Taco Tuesday Like You’ve Never Had Before

Hey y’all, it’s Chef Lala and I’m back at Haus of Chefs with another edition of Taco Tuesday. All I can say is, if you haven’t tried my next level tacos yet, what are you waiting for?

I’m cooking up creations like crispy chicken skin tacos stuffed with your choice of perfectly seasoned meats. Oxtail tacos topped with spicy Haitian pikliz and pineapple salsa. A shrimp & crab quesadilla that melts in your mouth, plus BBQ chipotle chicken wings, chopped cheese tortas, and more.

The Bay Area is buzzin’ because trust me, nobody else is doing tacos like this. You can only get this menu on Tuesdays so don’t let another one pass you by without coming to see me.

Taco Tuesday Opens Tomorrow at 11am

Hey y'all it's Chef Lala, and your Tuesday just got a whole lot tastier. I will be open at Haus of Chefs every Tuesday from 11 am - 10 pm serving up my versions of the California staple, our beloved tacos.

Yes, traditional-style tacos which the Bay is best known for, will be on the menu. But you know I had to bring the heat with entrees like the "Chicken Skin" taco, where the taco shell is made from my deep-fried chicken skins and stuffed with all your favorite taco fixins'.

Or how about my Oxtail taco with Haitian pikliz and pineapple - a house favorite you MUST try! And then there's my Southern taco made with your choice of protein, plus red beans & rice, and Jusla hot sauce.

The bar will be open serving up beers and craft margaritas. Plus, enjoy fresh-made chips and salsa, hand-smashed guacamole, and more (like my Chopped Cheese Torta that everybody went crazy for last week).

Hey y'all, it's Chef Lala! Grab your appetites and meet me tomorrow at Haus of Chefs where I'll be open for both brunch & dinner, every Saturday,

beginning at 11 am.

I'm serving up New Americana brunch cuisine the Chef Lala way with dishes like my Avocado Toast served two ways, Chicken & Cakes with a bourbon maple marinated candy bacon (YES, you read that right), and my Oxtail Sweet Potato Hash (insert chef's kiss).

Dinner service begins at 5 pm and consists of the elevated comfort classics you know and love (y'all been asking about those lamb chops...they're back). Plus some new dishes like my Creamy Garlic Seafood Rigatoni and Stuffed Chicken.

Look, y'all know food is my love language. So, it's only right that I put my heart into creating a menu that will leave you saying "WOW" by the end of your meal.

Major things are happening in 2025!

Hey y'all, it's Chef Lala. I hope your new year is off to a great start. I am extremely grateful to all of you who supported me in 2024. Whether you came by my restaurant residency, patronized a pop-up, booked me for catering, or spread the word about my food, I truly thank you from the bottom of my heart.

With that being said, I have some BIG news that I'm excited to share. But first...

I will be closed for service this Saturday, January 4th. I know, I know, but I actually have a good reason for this. Beginning Saturday, January 11th, I will be open for brunch and dinner service.

Yes, you read that right! Every Saturday I'm doing an upscale New American-style brunch, along with my elevated comfort classics for dinner, inside Haus of Chefs located at 410 21st Street in downtown Oakland. I can't wait for y'all to come down so I can feed you. But that's not all...

Tuesday, January 14th will be our first Taco Tuesday at Haus of Chefs! I am so excited about this because you know I have to put my Chef Lala spin on everything I do and tacos, burritos, and nachos are no different. Come see what the hype is about every Tuesday at 410 21st Street Oakland. We'll be open for lunch and dinner as well.

Elevated Comfort Food for Dine-in, Takeout & Local Delivery

What’s up y’all, it’s Chef Lala! I’m back at Haus of Chefs tonight from 3-10 pm with some new items and classic favorites I just know you’ll enjoy.

My whole, fried Branzino was the talk of social media last week. So many guests were posting their plates on Instagram (Shout out to y’all, I truly appreciate the love. Don’t forget to follow me ).

Because of the popularity, I brought the Branzino back this evening as our chefs special. It’s served over herbed filé rice, and is truly a dish you must experience for yourself.

New to the menu are my herb marinated lamb chops with a bourbon balsamic Demi-glace, served with garlic mashed potatoes and caramelized Brussels sprouts. If that’s not the perfect Saturday night comfort meal…I don’t know what is.
