Feeling a little uncertain of the future? Me too. The only thing I know to do is focus on spreading my mission of connection, health and joy in my community through flowers.

I invite you to consider helping me get started with my flower farm by purchasing a bouquet subscription now to be redeemed in a few months when the flower field gets hopping. Available in 3,5 and 10 bouquet subscriptions. Kind of similar to the CSA model. You will have first dibs on my flowers and also be providing me with the seed money to get it going.

My name is Sarah Larkin, and I love flowers!! So much so that after 20 years as a floral designer, I’ve decided to become a Farmer-Florist.

When I moved from the retail space into a home based studio, everything changed for me. It was an opportunity to examine how I had been taught to do things and come up with my own systems and philosophies.

When I started filling up my trash can with plastic sleeves from market bunches, filling up my van with gas for frequent trips to Sacramento and San Francisco, when I learned about the widespread use of pesticides used on conventionally grown flowers, when I learned that importing flowers doesn't support local economy, when I learned of the harmful toxins in floral foam, when I made my very first bouquet out of flowers I'd grown in my backyard…I knew I had to set out and do things differently than I had ever done before.

Last year, I was gifted the opportunity to attend The Beginner Farmer Course at Center for Land-Based Learning and a new way forward emerged.
