Still obsessing over Sierra and Richards Wedding Details and beauty!

The groom hails from the picturesque Caribbean Island of Trinidad & Tobago 🇹🇹, while the bride is a proud 4th Generation Jamaican-American 🇯🇲🇺🇸.

Heather and Adam's Ocean City beach wedding was simply magical. Despite the strong southwest winds creating a very windy setting for the ceremony, their dream beach wedding was nothing short of romantic and personal. Michelle beautifully captured every detail of the day.

After the intimate wedding ceremony, everyone enjoyed a delicious meal, followed by the cake cutting. The beach-themed wedding cake by Desserts by Rita was a hit with its delightful flavors. It was a perfect day from start to finish!

After the heartfelt vows, guests joined the couple for an intimate brunch celebration at our Coastal 59 venue. Aisha's personal touches made the event even more memorable, from beach welcome bags to a unique Bible guest book where everyone highlighted their favorite scripture and signed. 📖💕

We were deeply moved by Savannah's heartfelt review, and we're so thankful our level of service is noticed and appreciated. 💖

I cannot express enough gratitude for the exceptional service and support provided by Jodie. My experience with them truly exceeded all expectations and turned what could have been a nightmare into a memorable and beautiful wedding day.

We got dealt a cruel hand with a fire incident the night before our big day. Amidst the chaos and panic, Jodie stepped up in an extraordinary manner. Despite the unforeseen circumstances, they went above and beyond to ensure that our wedding day proceeded as smoothly as possible.

Jodie demonstrated true compassion and understanding by immediately offering to open up the venue early so that we could get ready on-site. This act of kindness allowed us to salvage what could have been a disastrous situation. Not only did she open the venue doors early, but she also personally assisted in making sure everything was in place for our preparations.

The level of dedication and professionalism exhibited by her was truly remarkable. Despite the last-minute changes and added stress, they remained calm, composed, and focused on ensuring that our day was special. Their attention to detail and commitment to customer satisfaction was evident in every aspect of their service.

Thanks to Jodie our wedding day went off without a hitch. From the beautifully appointed venue to the impeccable service, every moment exceeded our expectations.

We're honored to have planned Tania and Paul's beautiful beach wedding at Coastal 59. In loving memory of Tania's son, they chose June 3rd (63 was his number) as their special date. The day was filled with so much joy, laughter, and happiness. Laughter truly keeps the soul full of Joy!

From Arizona to Ocean City, MD, Savannah and Noah's destination beach wedding was a beautiful vision of a small, intimate dinner celebration with immediate family and friends. The evening before the wedding, they returned to their Airbnb to find it flooded due to a sprinkler system going off from an electrical wall fire.

The smoke-infused wedding attire was carefully hung in our gazebo to air out throughout the day. Meanwhile, the girls were treated to a day of pampering and relaxation in the bridal suite.

When asked, "If rain is lucky on a wedding day, what does fire mean?" I share this: "The physical flame represents a spiritual symbol that witnesses the vows of the bride and groom. It symbolizes the couple's commitment to walking together in the light of truth and integrity. Couples are intended to reflect on their commitment and responsibilities not only to each other but also to the community."

Savannah and Noah, despite the unexpected turn of events, your love and resilience shone brightly. Here's to your beautiful journey ahead, filled with love, truth, and integrity.

THE WEDDING CAKE
there are so many myths and traditions about wedding cakes so let me share a few of my absolute favorites! In Ancient Rome, bread was broken over the bride’s head to bring good fortune to the couple. In Medieval England, cakes were stacked as high as possible for the bride and groom to kiss over. Slicing the cake is the first task for newlyweds to complete together but know your cue - at a wedding cutting the cake traditionally symbolizes that guests can depart.

" In the 17th century, wedding desserts were made in pairs — a bride’s cake and a groom’s cake, which was typically a small fruitcake. Instead of being served at the reception, the groom’s cake was cut up, packaged and given to guests as favors. The tradition of groom’s cakes actually died out for a while, but recently resurged in the U.S.

Fascinating world of wedding traditions.

Exchanging wedding rings:
One of the most popular artifacts in a wedding ceremony is the wedding ring. The wedding ring has ties to ancient Rome and the beginnings of metal, and, as ancient as it sounds, a ring placed upon a woman’s finger meant ownership by her husband.

Wearing wedding rings on the left hand:
This tradition is tied directly to one of love’s most notable symbols: the heart. In your left hand, there’s an artery that runs straight to the heart.

Diamond wedding rings:
Diamond wedding rings were not popular until Prince Maximillian in 1477 gave his betrothed, Mary of Burgundy, a large diamond engagement ring.

In America, until the growth of the diamond industry, most women received precious stones. Each one had a different meaning: For example, rubies promised to protect their wearer from evil and an opal promised faithfulness. Today many brides are opting for a non-conflict diamond, one not mined with the cruel labor conditions found in diamond mines.

FATHER GIVING AWAY THE BRIDE
In the case of an arranged marriage of a bride and groom, the bride was considered their father’s property in which he was giving her away to the groom. Over the years, this tradition has remained, along with some fantastic alternatives to accommodate the couple’s preference!
Here's the traditional take:
Giving away the bride is an antiquated tradition from the days when women were their father's property until they got married. Then they became their husband's property. The bride was given away in exchange for a bride price or dowry.

And here's a more modern take: walking down the aisle with someone about to be married is an honor and choosing a friend, loved one or family member makes sense. Asking a friend can deepen a relationship and be an extremely heartwarming as a gesture of love. Alternatively walking yourself down the aisle is incredibly affirming.

White wedding dresses:

Queen Victoria of England was the first royal influencer to wear a white wedding dress. Until that time, most royals wore heavy brocades. Queen Victoria who married her true love, Prince Albert in 1840, shocked English society by wearing a white lace gown.

A white wedding dress is still the tradition in most American weddings, but wedding attire does vary among cultures. In Asian cultures, white is a color of mourning and red is considered lucky. This is the color of the Chinese Qipao, the traditional costume worn by Chinese brides. Red packets or envelopes are also the customary gift of money at an Asian wedding. South Asian brides also wear traditional saris of red and gold.
