Gulf Coast Ecstatic Dance just wrapped up our 10th event on the coast!

It’s so wonderful seeing new and returning people participate in last night’s Silent Disco: Music, Movement, and Meditation.

Special shoutout to those brave souls who show up on their own without knowing anyone else then become new friends 🥰

Today is the day, y'all! Here's all you need to know for Silent Disco!!

Be sure to bring:
* towel or blanket to sit on during cacao ceremony
* warm socks to stay cozy while dancing barefoot
* jacket / layers to stay warm when the sunsets on the breezy beach
* water bottle to stay hydrated
* bonus points if you also bring your own coffee cup for tea!

Please plan to arrive in time to park, sign-in, use the restroom, and setup your spot in the circle by 4:00 PM. If you arrive late, join us and we'll help you sign-in during the next break.

The guided event will wrap up around 6PM then you are invited to stay for warm vegan soup and hot tea together around the bonfire until 7PM.

We will gather at bonfire pit #42. This is on Front Beach Drive in front of Fort Maurepas — between Jackson Ave + Washington Ave.

Nearby street parking is usually available. If not, then there is a parking lot at Fort Maurepas, about across the street from our reserved area. You’ll see us setup with a table on the sidewalk!

Also -- we are glad to offer an attendance / volunteer exchange to anyone who would like to support of the event. This is a labor of love for the entire team and we can usually use more helping hands!

The countdown is on to our gathering on Sunday!

We dance to connect — with each other and our inner wisdom. We dance for our health — getting great exercise and a major mood boost. And we dance to enjoy time outside, warm by the fire, and in awe of the beauty of nature.

Our meditation theme on Sunday will be forgiveness. This time of year, we are surrounded with messages of joy and cheer but many of us may also be feeling heaviness around the things that fell short of expectations or violated our boundaries. We’ll make space for those emotions and for imagining the possibilities that arise to us through letting go. During our closing circle we will sing “let it be”.

We welcome all to join us. Come solo or bring a friend! We greatly appreciate you sharing this event with your community and helping to get out the word. Please comment, share, & like to help other interested folks see this heartfelt offering!

So much gratitude for everyone who joined us for Silent Disco: Music, Movement, and Meditation this evening!

As always, these events are a co-creation among all of the sweet souls who bring their presence, their wisdom, and beauty. New friends and old friends alike, we leave uplifted by our connection.

We are especially grateful to everyone’s support of our fundraiser for Truth is One’s mutual aid efforts in response to flooding from
Hurricane Helene. We are sending this nonprofit $200 thanks to your contributions!

Silent Disco: Music, Movement, and Meditation on the beach gathers again on Sunday evening in Ocean Springs!

The guided event is from from 5-7 with bonfire and food to follow. Free form movement meditation with live DJ makes a fabulous self-care mini-retreat, a relaxing girls night, or a sweet date with your love.

Opening cacao ceremony will be led by Tiffany Gayatri Devi Kidder, movement meditation will be led by la’ra’le, and elemental soundscape for your dancing pleasure by DJ Ananda Bliss Amanda Mavar Schmidt!

We will be donating all proceeds to local mutual aid recovery efforts coordinated by Truth Is One in Western North Carolina.
