Can’t get enough of the textures in this arrangement that I did at - everything was cut from the property!
and I started taking groups to Spannocchia 10 years ago, and it has become for us a home away from home. The people are such special friends that we are always thrilled to visit, and the place itself is magical. It’s brimming with history and beauty, and creating while I’m there always feels a bit like dancing with this place that I love deeply.

It’s hot here in Tuscany. And still so very magical. The ground is scorched and crunches beneath our feet, and foraging for a floral demo took on a different look this year. But it makes me so happy to be able to create here again. And especially to create a piece that feels true to the space and time. is just wonderful!

So you want something different and magical? Let’s do it!! This installation framing the cake was made up of thousands of delicate, fluttering paper shapes, fresh orchid blooms, and hanging candles, and I am so proud of the end result!
Many, many hours went into visioning, designing, selecting and hand-painting the paper, cutting the shapes, hand-stringing the paper and the fresh blooms, and installing the many hundred strands!
What a wonderful example of the potential of collaborating with other talented creatives for wonderful, trusting clients! We had a dream team!! Big thanks to Alli Bostrom Smith, Davaine Lighting Lesley Krysa Frascogna and many, many more!
For Heaven's Cakes & Catering - the cake was perfection - as usual!
