I just wanted to say thank you to all of those who supported me and my family on this crazy business endeavor. We were truly blessed to be apart of such an amazing community that truly appreciated small businesses. Thank you to all my past brides that allowed me to be apart and create something beautiful for your most special day, thank you to all the families that trusted me to build something beautiful for their passed love ones and Thank you so much for each and every opportunity each individual customer gave me. Through this journey it has been nothing but an absolute pleasure to serve each of you in some way. I’ll forever hold on to the many new friendships and relationships built through L&L and the past three years will hold a special place in my heart.

Flowers will forever be a passion of mine but I look forward to what the future holds for me and my family.

It is with great sadness that I am making this post in regards to closing my shop effective September 30, 2022.

If you would have told me 3 years ago, I would be able to keep my doors open through a pandemic and multiple hospital stays, I may have laughed out loud. But, here we are! I would have never imagined as a 19 year old, that I or my shop would be where we are today a few short years later. I have met so many amazing people and have loved being a part of such a supportive community. I have truly been blessed!

As many of you know, last November I married the love of my life and then we welcomed our sweet baby boy into the world in June. I have loved being able to use flowers to make the world a more beautiful place, but being a business owner takes up more of my time. Time that I want to put towards my son and being the mom I want to be and the mom I know he deserves.

We have recently been told by the building owner that they may be interested in selling the building and if that happens we would need to find a new home for Lavender and Lace. I took this as a sign from God that it is my time to step away to go ahead and commit the time that I want to my family.

Watch out L&L family, our shop grew by two tiny feet 👣 💙

I’m pleased to introduce you to Mr. Blaine Arron Onka born Thursday June 9th, 2022. Weighing in at 5lbs 13oz and reaching a whopping 20in long.

As many of you know we have been anxiously awaiting the arrival of our little boy, who was expected to arrive four weeks from now but due to some complications he’s here and we couldn’t be happier. Because of his preterm arrival we are spending some time in the NICU working on getting his lungs stronger.

We look forward to bringing our little boy home, and sharing him with you but for now he’s exactly where he needs to be receiving the absolute best care we could hope for.

The shop will remain open during my absence and I ask that you direct all your floral needs to my wonderful girls holding down the fort while I’m gone. We will keep you updated as we may experience a little bit of an unusual schedule at times.

As always thank you for your understanding, flexibility and support. We are so blessed to be in such a loving town and we are so happy to continue to provide flowers to our community.

Happy Valentine’s Day to all!

This year was a huge success at the shop and a true blessing in these trying times. We are so very blessed to own a business in such a supportive town. We are so thankful for our many customers who keep us going.

I seriously could not have made it through this week (prep starting last Tuesday) without the amazing help from my staff and volunteers. We’ve had our smoothest Valentine’s Day to date, and we could not have been successful and efficient without them. We hope each and every customer is satisfied, happy, and feeling all the love!💕

I have to give a very special thank you to my husband Mikey Onka for stepping in, handling my panicked moments, helping in and arranging (YES he did arrange flowers) and being a very speedy delivery driver. You may not see his face in the shop often but I must tell you he’s here with me, supporting me and running those last minute deliveries often.

💜This one is a little different, we here at L&L had an amazing opportunity to be apart of a SURPRISE 40th wedding anniversary and vow renewal.

A great friend of mine came to me with this idea and wanted to create a small bouquet and boutonniere for her mother as part of a very special surprise.

🥂I had met Bre through a mutual friend and a pervious wedding! We instantly became friends and She chose us here at L&L to do her wedding flowers.

💐Bre’s bridal bouquet features many of my favorites. Capturing a romantic, rustic boho feel featuring many dried grasses such as Pampas grass, Feathered Pampas, dried Russcuss, dried wheat, and beautiful dried palm leaves those are paired with white roses, white chrysanthemums, wax flower, babies breath, and mixed greenery.

💙You’ll notice around her bouquet a pop of blue, that is her custom leather wrap featuring the couples branding adding a personal and sentimental touch to her bouquet.
