Why the name Dove + Rose?

The Story Behind Dove + Rose Photo + Video:
The name Dove + Rose Photo + Video carries a deeply personal story, woven from love, loss, and the unwavering presence of hope. It’s a story whispered on the wings of a dove and blooming with the resilience of a rose.

The Dove: A symbol of the Holy Spirit, represents a profound encounter I had with Jesus during a time of immense grief. Having lost my precious son, Zealand, I desperately needed comfort. It was then that the Holy Spirit, like a gentle dove, brought a sense of peace and renewed hope. This experience resonates with the scripture in John 14:16, where Jesus promises to send us a “Helper,” (THE HOLY SPIRIT) who is also referred to as our comforter. 🕊️

The Rose: Represents the memory of our unborn daughter, Arielle Rose, whose name means “lioness of love.” Loving fiercely embodies the reflection of what Jesus did for us by taking our place on the cross. He is our Rose of Sharon. He fiercely loved us unto death so that we might be reconciled back with Him. 🌹

Dove + Rose Photo + Video is more than just a name; it’s a testament to the power of faith, the beauty that can bloom even admits loss. My goal is to capture your precious moments through photography and videography, while offering a sense of comfort, hope, and love in every interaction. ☀️

We are excited to announce that soon, we will be offering photography + doula services for the birthing dates of our mommas out there. 🥹

We will be getting certified as a doula so that we can offer services that not only bless you with images but now, we can assist you in one of the greatest experiences someone can have!

We will also be specializing in bereavement births. This is something so near and precious to our hearts as we understand the pain of hard moments of loss.

We will keep you updated on our journey and status of certification. We can’t wait to be able to take this to new levels and offer something so special to our mommas. 💖

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT 📣

Dear friends, clients, and family. Our season is shifting and with that, so is our location for services. We have been on the Midland // Odessa area for 4 years now and we are BEYOND thankful for your support and encouragement in our development over those years. 💛

We now, are entering into a new phase and are moving to Houston, Tx starting THIS Saturday, June 29,2024. This was a really fast and quick transition as my husband’s job was transferred. ✨

With that being said, if you have already booked your wedding with us, DO NOT WORRY! We will still be servicing those that have booked with us. If you were wanting to book with us, you are more than welcome to still book if you are in the West Texas area but there will be travel fees.

If you were trying to get photos done with us, NOW is the time and by now I mean this week. 😂 We are offering $50 off our session this week only for all Midlanders wanting to get their sessions completed before our departure.

Let’s get you scheduled before we leave or if you are from Houston and east Texas, we are coming to you! You can now book your appointments for photos. 🙌🏻

Everyone is nervous about not knowing what to do during their sessions with their photographer. One of my favorite things to do is to help with that as much as possible! 😏 Here are some tips to help pose your clients: - Make them feel comfortable: Bring some music that they like to your session and play it while you are taking photos. - Encourage them and hype them up: The more they feel like they are doing great the more they feel relaxed and less nervous. - Show them some previews: This gets them excited about their images! - Pay attention to details: They are already worried about their hair and outfit. If you help them by fixing those little things before taking an image, they will trust you to provide the best possible image. The less they worry about those things the more natural they will be! I hope this helps someone. ✨
