Heeeeyyy!!

It’s me, Kristi! The face of Wild Aura… well you can’t see my whole face in any of these photos… but here’s a side profile 🤪

As we start to dive into wedding season I feel like it’s a good time for me to tell ya a little about myself and Wild Aura!

To start off, I’ve wanted to be a florist my whole life! And other than my very first job at Big 5, it’s exactly what I’ve been doing! I started when I was 18 at Michael’s working with silk flowers. But other than learning how to make giant bows for the top of your Christmas tree I didn’t learn much. After 3 short months of working there I built up the courage to walk into a fresh flower shop and apply for a job as a designer! The owner asked me to design a dozen roses…which took me over an hour to design… and the rest was history.

I worked in that shop and one other for the next 7 years! In 2019 I had my daughter Harper and that’s when I really reevaluated my life. I loved designing but the long hours away from my daughter were not my favorite. So in 2020 I stepped away from the flower shop and did something I had been wanting to do for years. I got my 200hr Yoga Teaching Certificate. I thought, “I’ll stay home with Harper, teach some yoga and be fulfilled” HA that lasted about 6 months…

A friend of mines sister was getting married in the fall and she had asked if I’d be intrested in doing her flowers. OF COURSE I WAS! …but I knew to order flowers wholesale I needed a business license. So i contemplated and decided this was my sign!

As a girl I dreamed of doing flowers for big extravagant weddings, I pictured giant chandeliers and flowers everywhere! So I went all in! As I finished my yoga teacher training I got my business license, started marketing and by the time I graduated in March 2021 I had 6 weddings lined up for the summer and fall!

Now going into this 2024 wedding season I have to pinch myself to make sure I’m not dreaming! My business has taken me further than I could have ever imagined! I’ve been to Switzerland to design, all over Utah and parts of California. I have met the most wonderful people and have grown a community I had only dreamed about!
