Ogden Pioneer Days rodeo and celebration, with events planned throughout July, is the biggest and best statehood celebration in Utah. This year, the Ogden Pioneer Days Rodeo will be inducted into the 2017 ProRodeo Hall of Fame. Ogden's rodeo, which annually draws more than 30,000 people, also has been ranked as one of of the top five large outdoor rodeos in the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Associati

on. Each year, Ogden Pioneer Days is celebrated at the historic Ogden Pioneer Stadium, where the rodeo started and where the feeling of the American west still lives. Bring the whole family and join us for five nights of rodeo entertainment under the stars.

⭐️⭐️⭐️Volunteer Spotlight

Rodeo fans, we’ve saved a very special THANK YOU to coincide with Thanksgiving this year.

For decades, our Volunteer Coordinator and committee member, Mike Shane, has has faithfully served Ogden Pioneer Days and our fans. You know, the guy that never sits down and can be seen in three or four places at once, each night of the rodeo. Mike helps to manage volunteers, seat fans, resolve issues, calm nerves and smooth out frustrations—all while remaining cool and collected. 🤠

Now, Mike is no pushover. 💪 He’s tall, tough and a bit no-nonsense, which is what we might love best about him. Mike has the uncanny ability to listen, understand and respond, all while standing his ground. He knows his own mind while respecting others.

The only trouble is that Mike is putting up his spurs and moving onto other things. And oh man, will he be missed. And when speaking of Mike, we have to mention his sweet wife and co-OPD volunteer. They are as close as bread-n-butter and she backs him up all the way. ❤️❤️

📣📣📣We love this guy and he sure will be missed. Please give Mike a thumbs up or shout out. Heaven knows, he deserves it!
