Now that I've got some time, I'm working through a rather large (perhaps, embarrassing) backlog of my Book of the Month selections. I forgot how satisfying it is to come to the end of an actual book, book. Like, with paper pages! (No offense, trusty kindle.) I just finished Romantic Comedy (also Reese's pick of the month—another fun list to follow https://sparklp.co/d473d484/). I liked it, but I've also been rewatching SNL and 30Rock lately…

What books are on your list right now? Does anyone want a referral code to the Book of the Month Club? (https://tinyurl.com/mry3m245) How about audible recommendations—I have three more credits to use before the end of the month there too!

Ok, that's it from me: 2.5 months into my 4–6 or maybe up to one-year recovery from elbow injury. 🤦🏻‍♀️🤕🤷🏻‍♀️

This isn’t the announcement I wanted to make, but sometimes life has other plans. I need to take some time off to rest and allow an injury to heal. Unfortunately, this means I won’t be able to release a Mother’s Day Collection this year. I know how much this collection means, and I’m honored that it has become an annual tradition for many of you! I am truly sorry that I won’t be able to make it happen.

Honestly, this decision was not only difficult, but it has also been very stressful. This season is my busiest time of the year, and I worry about how this will affect my business. But I am a company of one, so my hands touch every aspect of this business. I need them, and I need them to be in tip-top shape! Given the circumstances, this is the right move.

In the meantime, I will try to slow down, enjoy the spring flowers, and hope to be back up and running with my scissors before we know it. (Just not literally.)

For 10 years and 11 months, we spent almost every day together. It may not look like much changed over those years (other than we both got a little gray!), but I never imagined how different life would be from when we first found Marco. I also never wanted to imagine life without him by my side. I knew this time would come, but it doesn't make my heartbreak any easier.

It's been a difficult month so far. (It's been a struggle for a while now, really). I'm trying hard to push through and keep working to stay on schedule with my Holiday Collection and everything else. But I must admit, my spirit is running a bit low. If I can pull it all together, expect to see some new things from me in the next week or two. Otherwise, know that I'm still around and making flowers, and one of these days, I hope to be back to my bubbly self again. Thanks for sticking with me. 💕
