We made the call not to mow the lawn and I’m so happy we did. This ceremony felt in place and natural to the surrounding. The meadow grass was fluffy and dense creating a pillow of green for the aisle.

Kat here… I was just a little pregnant in these photos helping very dear friends marry on a mountaintop farm overlooking the Pacific. I grew up in a small town where things were fairly simple. We weren’t fancy people and yet I was taught how to set a table, eat with manners and how to delicately know the difference between refinement and excess. (Thank you Mama Dayle) To me, a perfect event balances beauty with comfort. I don’t ever want to get so fancy that guests can’t settle in, talk to each other and linger in the sweetness. It’s important to know the flowers, know the place and get to know the person you are sitting next to. Emilie and Kristo, your wedding still rings true to me and I who I am as a person (and as a wedding planner.) I’ll never forget the feeling of your wedding and specialness of this day. Thank you.

When it comes to weather and the investment of your wedding you can’t take chances. We decided 4 days before the wedding to tent which meant there was a lot of work to do quickly. It’s very typical to not want to rent your wedding but when you do, we promise it’s worth it both for peace of mind and beauty. This dinner tent elevate the romance and intimacy of the wedding. The dinner tent was 12 feet by 90 feet long. Thank you to the vendors for pulling it off and to the couple for being so fierce in courage and trust! This wedding was beyond beautiful.
