Funny story about

I grew up in the farming area of Woodstock, NY. As a kid, there wasn’t much to do, so my friends and I would run around the farms and pick as many fruits and vegetables as we could so we could spend the day eating our “free” lunches.

One farm in particular had this big barn that was always locked up. Of course, curiosity would get the best of us and we tried breaking in…on MULTIPLE occasions. I remember this man with crazy hair would always run up and chase us off his property.

Fast forward all these years later, the man with the crazy hair was TODD RUNDGREN! It’s always a pleasure to have him play the Where Music Meets the Soul venues and to reminisce on this old story.

Catch him at the Saban Theatre on June 20th and the Libbey Bowl on June 23rd!

It’s a sad day in Southern California as we mark the much too early passing of legendary Entertainment Reporter Sam Rubin. Since 1991 Sam has been an integral part of the KTLA Channel 5 news team. In fact, he almost feels like a part of our Sterling Venue Ventures family. Many of us turn on Channel 5 as soon as we wake up each morning, just so Sam can bring us up to speed on the latest entertainment news.

Rubin will go down in history as a stalwart professional whose charm, wit , warmth, and caring personality will be sorely missed in the mornings, on the red carpet, and in and around the Golden State for years to come.
