THIS IS BIG 🌻🌻🌻For the past seven years, you all have encouraged and supported us in ways I couldn’t possibly put into words. What began as a way to connect to others in our community became a thriving family business that fostered friendships and learning and creativity that fed my soul.

So it is with mixed emotion that we have decided not to continue operating our flower farm. With our oldest kids off to college, it’s time for us to turn the page and start the next chapter for our family.

With so many of you usually purchasing subscriptions as holiday gifts, we wanted to communicate our news now so you could make other plans. There are other wonderful local sources for flowers that I would highly recommend like English Family Flower Farm, Titus Farms and Where the Wild Things Bloom

Thank you so much for cheering us on and for giving us the opportunity to share such beauty and kindness all over the Greater Lansing area! We will continue to use our social media and would love to stay connected to you all. They say positive energy attracts more of the same and you all have proven this beyond a shadow of a doubt 💐💕✌️

A special thank you for all of your support during Gus’s treatment. He is now 2 years cancer free and we know how critical your prayers and good juju were to all of us 💛💛💛

Growing up, my grandparents had a big garden and a pantry full of food they grew and canned. It was just a way of life.

I remember picking green beans and eating them right off the vine, gathering apples and helping my grandma make pie, and towering sunflowers that my grandpa liked to show off.🌻😍

So this week’s bouquets are dedicated to them and their influence on my love for growing things 👩‍🌾 and include lots of old-fashioned favorites —sweet pea, cosmos, marigold, basil, hyssop, zinnias, and snapdragons.

This summer is going to feel a little different around here.

🎓Joel graduates on Sunday and has already started his new summer job running a crew for a local tent rental company.

🏖️ Gracie is heading to the east coast to work in a seafood restaurant for the summer and live her best beach life.🙌

These two have been our delivery drivers for years because flower sales help to pay for college.📚

That’s a big reason why we are adjusting our delivery radius to Okemos only this season. 🚙

But thankfully we have some new incredible local partnerships that allow for local weekly or biweekly pickup options for bouquet subscriptions! So excited to be working with these awesome small business owners to make this shift possible 🙌🙏

I know that every day when our batches of bouquets go out into the world, that there are so many wives & mamas & sisters & grandmas (and families) whose days just got that much happier 😍😋❤️

These monkeys make my 🌎 go round. Every Mother’s Day brings a different set of ages and stages and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

This year it’s graduation and prom (Joel) and baseball and soccer tournaments (Gus) and coming home with a boyfriend and spending the summer on the east coast (Gracie) and chapter books and wanting to “be the strongest girl in the world” (Pearl)

Lucky doesn’t even come close ❤️

🌱 Our perennial beds are already going bonkers thanks to the early warmup
🌱 Thousands of seedlings are taking over the house as we wait for the freezing temps to pass
🌱 Wr have baby robins hatching under Pearl’s playset and she is obsessed 😍

Happy Earth Day, friends! 🌎

We’ve got a few more local shout outs because people always amaze us with their awesomeness.🙌

First, a big thanks to MSU Surplus Store and all the student volunteers for the cool Earth Day Bash today. Pearl make an upcycled craft, repotted a plant in upcycled pottery, and came home with a batch of freecycled chapter books.♻️

And we are having so much fun watching our birch tree seedlings put on their first leaves in their protective sleeves around our yard. We purchased them from a young forester in Pewamo. When we picked them up from his family’s farm, he coached us on caring for them and we purchased stakes (he made in his own mill) and sleeves to keep them safe from deer. Avery also showed us some Black Walnut trees he had grown from seeds his grandfather had given him. ❤️🌳🙌

It really doesn’t get any cooler than that.

I haven’t had time to post cause I’ve been living my best life thanks to some new local businesses! 🤓

Thanks to Graze Craze I could show some friends how thankful we are for them with a literally STUNNING and yummy charcuterie board. I thought maybe the website featured stock photos but nope —absolute perfection!😍

And thanks to the gorgeous, spotless, high-tech Dirty Laundry Lounge, we got every single spec of laundry done in one morning —including all the comforters and blankets! 🤩🙌 There are machines that hold up to SIX loads at a time and you can pay with an app. It. Was. Glorious. 💯

Just passing along these gems cause I can’t believe how awesome both businesses are and they are right here!! Check ‘em out 😎

My mom planted tulips in her flower garden every year. As a child, I loved when they bloomed 🌷because there were so many but they were each unique. I also knew that once the tulips bloomed, summer was soon to follow!☀️

My mom’s gorgeous flower garden and watching her tend to it is a huge part of why I love growing flowers today. So why don’t we kick off the countdown to Mother’s Day with a little giveaway!
