Introducing my first new flavor of the 2024 fall season, the "Candy Apple Pecannoisseur," a tribute to my Aunt Becky, Senior Fruit & Nut Specialist at the OSU Research Extension, who kindly let me interview her for a story I'm writing for Edible OKC Magazine.
The name is a nod to a term that Danny coined to describe her role, "pecannoisseur," and the flavor includes all kinds of falltastic ingredients like:
• Salted caramel cream
• Vanilla bean and maple syrup
• Honeycrisp apples
• Fresh, native pecans from Overturf Farms
• Oats, nutmeg, and cinnamon
I can't wait until the story comes out. It's been a privilege to get to collaborate with my aunt on it and to learn more about what she does in the process!
