Leaders EMERGE here. Over 250 Future Business Leaders of America student leaders and their advisers from five states descended on Oklahoma City to our Learn to Lead event!

Students had an unforgettable experience touring factor 110, cheering on the Oklahoma City Thunder, and visiting the Oklahoma City National Memorial & Museum. They honored the lives lost on April 19, 1995 through a wreath-laying ceremony and gained a deeper understanding of that tragic day, the resilience that followed, and the importance of leading with kindness, service, and honor.

This high-energy, interactive experience empowered leaders to unlock their leadership potential, connect with fellow FBLA members, and "learn to lead" through group training sessions and workshops. They heard from a lineup of impactful speakers and topics, including Chasing Dreams: A Country Music Journey from Vinyl to The Voice with NBC's The Voice star Bailey Rae, engaging in the energetic Magnificent Team Challenge, diving deep into Minding Your Manners, American Enterprise Day: Business Builds Community, and Let Go of the Rope: Creating Unlimited Confidence with Diana Rogers Jaeger!

factor 110 | Destination Oklahoma, the region’s leader in event and destination management, proudly announces a strategic leadership transition. Ashley Armstrong, CMP, DMCP, has been promoted to President, while founder Brian Ferrell, CMP, DMCP, will now serve as Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

As President, Armstrong will oversee the daily operations along with the management of the event and destination team to uphold the company’s high standards. In his new role as Founder + CEO, Ferrell will concentrate on the strategic vision, assume additional roles to elevate the industry and curate unforgettable destination experiences.

Armstrong previously served as the Vice President of Events & Destination Management and brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record of success to her new role. She has been instrumental in driving the company’s growth and maintaining its reputation for excellence in the industry.

Twelve organizations will receive over $100,000 in grants to support students in hospitality, entrepreneurship, and leadership development.

In 2023, factor 110 established the One Ten Legacy Fund with the Oklahoma City Community Foundation with a focus to support young leaders in hospitality, entrepreneurship, and leadership development. An advisory board composed of thought leaders and stakeholders in these three sectors shared its insight on program areas, unmet financial needs, and resources needed to advance their missions.

The following organizations have been selected to receive a 2024-2025 program grant, which will provide essential funding and resources to support the successful implementation of their innovative initiatives aimed at driving positive change and making a meaningful impact in the young leaders they serve.
