News article about one of our Ballroom Dance Club members.

This is a lengthy story, but it is a prime example of how amazing our donors truly are. 🧡

Loyal donor, Rob Moody, was recently in Hot Springs enjoying one of the things he loves to do which is riding his mountain bike. He was riding down the Cat’s Meow Bike Trail in North Woods when he came upon another bike rider. It appeared to Rob that this gentleman was confused and may have had a bicycle accident since he had a smashed nose and scratches on his face.

Rob stopped to ask the man if he was okay, and although he seemed confused, he said he was okay. Rob carried on his way down the trail. The longer he rode, the more he couldn’t help but wonder if this man was okay or not. Rob doubled back around the trail to check on him. On his way back around to find the guy, he stopped and called 911.

Sure enough, there were rescue workers and EMTs who were currently trying to locate this fallen bike rider but were unable to locate him because he was confused as to where he was and on which bike trail. Rob was able to guide them to the fallen bike rider’s location so they could provide him medical attention.

We are thankful that Rob is not only a hero to many patients across Oklahoma, Texas and Arkansas by providing them with a live saving product, but we are also thankful and proud that Rob took the initiative to be a lifesaving hero to a total stranger who needed it in Arkansas.

Thank you, Rob. You are a hero to many.

Please remember that prices for our CD Dances are $10 per person for members and $15 per person for non-members and on Band Dance nights, the entry fee is $20 for non-members and $15 for members. Price for our New Years Eve Eve Holiday Dance is $25 each for everybody.

Membership to the Ballroom Dance Club of OKC is $25 a year.

Due To The Winter Storm, And Icy Road Conditions The Ballroom Dance Club Of Oklahoma City Will Be Canceling Their March 11th, Friday Night Lesson At The Oklahoma City Swing Dance Club.

Sad news. One of our Ballroom Dance Club members has passed away.

Louis Stephen Negron Jr., 73, of Oklahoma City, OK, passed away on Thursday, January 27, 2022. He was born in New York City, on December 15, 1948, to Lucy and Louis Negron Sr..
Louis served 4 years of active duty in the USAF before being honorably discharged.
He was a hardworking, kind, generous man that loved his family.

Services for Louis are Saturday, February 5th, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. CST in the Chapel at Moore Funeral & Cremation. A viewing will be held prior to the service from 10 a.m. to 2:00 p.m..

We are having a Band Dance on New Years Eve Eve, Thursday, December 30th with Talk of the Town! We will also be having a Holiday Dinner at our Band Dance starting at 7:00 pm. Tickets are $25 each and must be purchased in advance to be guaranteed a meal. The number of servings purchased will depend on the advance ticket sales. On the night of the Holiday Dinner, advance ticket holders will get their meals first. Only two dance nights left to purchase your advance tickets!
