It’s the holidays around here. 🧣⛸️ Jk, just BTS from a fun holiday shoot that you’ll see more of later!
It’s been eleven years of floral stories, art as medicine, collective healing, and so many flowers! Here are a few truths.
🍓We’d be lost without Creator, elders, siblings and other kinfolk guiding us along the way.
🍓We were each given the gift of sisterhood—corn, beans and squash— which has been a bright light even in the darkest moments. How could we have been so blessed?
🍓The Wild Mother is our family. Sometimes a fourth sister. Sometimes an elder. Sometimes a mother. When in healthy reciprocity with her we are all well.
We are grateful to our home communities for supporting our work always and for the many flower friends we’ve made along the way. Here’s to more weddings, film sets, photo shoots and collaborations where we can go to the depths of our imaginations to birth the most beautiful things. #artismedicine

A marriage of flowers and pastries was all we could have wanted for our collaboration with Roundhouse Bakery. Join us for our next workshop on August 2 where we’ll share our favorite Summer blooms with you.
We’re excited about tomorrow’s workshop at The Roundhouse Bakery in Stillwater, Oklahoma!
Couldn’t catch this class? Visit the link in our bio for August’s class details. Join us as we slow down and reconnect with our plant relatives.
Here are Callie’s thoughts on connecting with created things: “We are made of the Earth. The outdoors represent life lessons in how to take care of our community and ourselves.
It’s a good reconnecting point to take a moment, breathe, ponder, ask questions, and put myself in spaces that require me to observe. We live in a world that’s fast paced, technology is growing rapidly so we need that balance to stabilize us, to slow us down. As the Earth regenerates and grows again, the process isn’t fast. We are made to take our time and do things in seasons. That’s what it does for me—teaches me to take my time. I intentionally go outside everyday to observe, meditate, breathe pray, move…”

Join us on April 20th (2-6pm) or April 21 (12-2pm) at Spark! Creative Lab for the Opening of Send Flowers To Survivors. While you’re with us, we’ll ask that you participate in writing a letter or mutiple letters to the many people currently classified as criminalized survivors in n our system. Ultimately, we envision this experience to be a practice in empathy for all who join.
If you are so led following your experience, we encourage you to donate money or services to @ok_appleseed or @oksurvivorjustice as their advocacy work is pivotal in the care and support of criminalized survivors in our State.
We invite you into this gracious posture of community care and collective healing because art is medicine.
Let’s talk about criminalized survivorship…
This Spring, we’ve partnered with Oklahoma Appleseed Center for Law and Justice, OK Survivor Justice Coalition, Sugarfree Media, and Spark! Creative Lab to present Send Flowers To Survivors—a community care art exhibition honoring criminalized survivors of Oklahoma and beyond. This large scale garden installation will be a reminder that living things still grow. Each plant and each flower…a reminder of beauty that can never be forgotten. We are calling on our community to join us in honoring Erica Harrison, Keabreauna Boyd and April Wilkens, all of Oklahoma, who defended themselves against their attackers but were criminalized in their acts of defense and survival. These women are currently incarcerated and alive to tell their stories. Forget them not.
