The GOOD, the BAD & the UGLY.
Was a crazy and fun weekend at Roots Fest BBQ Competion.
Straps broke on the trailer, dumping both of our smokers onto the middle of the road. Was like watching a horror/sci-fi/demolition derby as the smokers came off the side of the trailer in slow-mo. It felt like I had time to pick up my phone and record it in the mirror, as chaos ensued.
Had a blast with the awesome atmosphere, between the music, vendors, and talking to all the other competitors.
I have to say, what a community of competitors that are in the KCBS. Everyone is so friendly and helpful, sometimes it feels like you are all cooking together.
We were proud to have our highest score ever on pork ribs. Overall, we didn't have our best competition scores, but we learned alot about ourselves in our 3rd competition.
We wanna give a big shoutout to Jdqbbq and Finger Leikam Good BBQ Team for their help and knowledge.
