Let’s talk a little about bridal trials and how important talking about your vision during a thorough consultation is for you as a bride and your bridal stylist. 🤍

Notice how different the hairstyle and makeup look on this bride at her trial and on her wedding day. The two major changes were her hair color and her skincare routine.

Hair color can change the entire look of your bridal hairstyle and this is very important to keep in mind when searching for inspiration, and when choosing the timing of your trial.

When you are looking for inspiration photos, it’s extremely helpful to look at pictures with hair color as close to yours as possible so that you can see how the details will, or will not show up! As you can see here, dark hair colors do not show nearly as much definition or detail (like twists or braids) as light hair colors do. This is also important to keep in mind if you plan on changing your hair color before your big day! In that case, it may be best to schedule a trial after your color change to give you a better idea of what your hair will actually look like at your wedding.

When it comes to the colors in her makeup, only minor changes were made like a lighter lip and brow. This hair color actually helps to brighten her complexion by complimenting her skin tone. She also put in a ton of effort into her at home skincare routine and regular facials and skin treatments with her esthetician. This is one of the best gifts that you can give yourself leading up to your wedding. Your makeup will go on smoother, your skin will glow brighter, and the overall wear will be much better. You can tell a huge improvement between her trial photos and her wedding day where the same exact products, techniques, and applications were used but the results speak for themselves.
