One word - EPIC!!!
THANK YOU to all who joined us for SloughStock 2024 (our 10th one)! Our hearts are so full of love and joy, we seriously cannot stop smiling! We sincerely hope you had as much fun as we did - YOU are all AMAZING!!!
Shout out to some special folks that helped make this year memorable (in no particular order): Ivan & Rosalie Bowers, Greg & Paula Hart, Deb Miller, Brian Meyer, Mark Parham, Dorthy Montgomery, Jeff Langenberg, Andrew & Carrie Black, Serina & Carlee, Jamie & John, Awed Man Out, the Class of 1979 band, and this year's special guest - the Anamosa Class of 1979! Tomorrow's weather is looking PERFECT for SloughStock 2024!! Reminder to bring your chairs, drinks/coolers and ADD a sweatshirt or blankie to the list. Maybe we'll get lucky and a musician will entertain us around the bonfire when we heat things up later in the evening.
Meal around 5pm will include roasted hog, maidrites, Mac & Cheese, cheesy potatoes, Inez's amazing macaroni salad, and more! So, bring your appetite too!
Pasture golf starting anytime after 2pm, or various other lawn games. All we need now is YOU!!!! See you soon, Friends!!

Hello SloughStock peeps!! Make sure you've saved Aug 10, 2024 to come out and hang with likeminded music and fun lovers! Along with our regulars (you guys ROCK!), we're inviting the Anamosa Class of 1979 Reunion to join us for their 45th and welcome classmates close in years.

What is SloughStock?
On a hot summer Saturday on August 10, Scot & Inez Gronewold will gather friends and musicians on our 7-acre property on E-45 north of Muskrat Slough to celebrate Peace & Music. We don't have 600 acres like Max Yasgur did in 1969 to host Woodstock, but we'll make due. Prior to music we'll play games including some pasture golf (bring 1 club for 9 holes), ladder ball, Bags, Hole-in-One contest, and more. Come out and enjoy a hot summer afternoon and refreshing evening in the country!!

Menu is shaping up: maidrites, pulled pork, party potatoes, mac & cheese, baked beans...and more. Bring your own drinks and enjoy the day in what we like to call SoJoCo (Southern Jones County).

Band: Awed Man Out & I heard something special during breaks

Time: anytime past 2pm until the owls go home. Meal around 5pm, music to follow.

Shirts will be available again this year for online ordering. Design is in-process, so stay tuned.

What to bring: lawn chair, drinks/cooler, bug spray, club if you’re pasture golfing, and your dancing shoes and/or party pants!

SloughStock 2019 stage is getting ready for --- get this!!! --- Bob Dorr's Iowa Music R***e featuring Blue Mississippi and The Limestoners with former members of the Blue Band! This is some of the VERY best that Iowa blues has to offer!!! Bob Dorr Lot's of acres for your lawn chairs and coolers!!!
