That's a wrap for Circle Theatre and their latest production "The Wise Men of Chelm"! A special Thanks to their wonderful team for making it look so easy!

(Left to right) Fran Sillau, our executive artistic director, accompanied by Nicholas Jansen, our stage manager, and Courtney Stein Cairncross, our co-artistic director and choreographer! We all learned so much from this incredible team and benefited greatly from their direction, inventiveness, ingenuity, and advice during rehearsals for "The Wise Men of Chelm, by Sandra Fenichel Asher, Based on Jewish Folktales." All three are amazing and kind human beings!

Fran has worked professionally as a playwright, director, producer, education coordinator, teaching artist, arts administrator, grant writer, and inclusion consultant working extensively within the world of Theater For Young Audiences for over twenty years. Fran serves as the Director of Accessibility at The Rose Theater, He also serves as Executive Artistic Director of Circle Theatre, Omaha’s theater for individuals of all abilities. He is a frequent contractor for The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. Fran serves on the board of the International Inclusion Arts Network and holds an MFA specializing in directing and inclusion from Goddard College.

Nic is a freelance stage manager, actor, and writer who has previously stage managed several Circle Theatre shows, including When We Go Away (2021 & 2023 remount) and You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown (2021). Nic is the Arts Programming Specialist at Ollie Webb Center, Inc. where they work as the resident Production Stage Manager, as well as a Direct Support professional, teaching arts and performance skills to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Nic also volunteers as the Board President and Co-Marketing Coordinator of the Omaha Fringe Festival.

Courtney Stein Cairncross is thrilled to be working with Circle Theatre and all of its partnering organizations once again! She holds a Masters of Dance Anthropology from the University of Roehampton in London, and has worked professionally as a choreographer (both internationally and nationally) for the past 15 years. Most recently, Courtney has worked as Assistant Choreographer on the Washington National Opera’s world premiere of “Grounded”, a new work which will be debuting at the Metropolitan Opera House in New York City next fall.
