Ever wonder how we bring shows to life?
Check out these design side-by-sides of the scenic model and costume renderings next to the finished product.
Our faculty, staff, classes, and student employees have been working since February to make these designs a reality.
See them for yourself tonight, tomorrow and Saturday afternoon!

Theatre at Oneonta

The theatre program at Oneonta blends classroom and experiential learning in order to provide students an ideal foundation for pursuing a wide range of careers and further education. The program begins with a focus on the basic skills and vocabulary needed to understand how all the aspects of theatre work together. As students progress, they specialize in one or more areas of interest by taking advantage of opportunities to act, direct, design, and stage-manage in an environment modeled on professional practices.

There are many different ways for non-majors to get involved in the theatre program and the shows it produces as well. Non-majors may act in shows, help backstage, take department classes, or join the Mask & Hammer Theatre Club. Learn more about all the opportunities to get involved on the Theatre Department website at oneonta.edu/theatre.
