Ever since I can remember I had a camera in my hand! I have always loved photography and it has grown to be a huge passion of mine! I started out in high school doing photography as a class and fell in love with black and white. I learned to develop my own photos, oh the smell of the processing chemicals! I loved seeing the photo "come to life". I continued with photography all throughout high sch
ool and it continued into trade school where I also took photography. (This was back in 2000 when digital cameras were just really coming out.) There I learned to roll my own film & develop the film. I also learned a lot about exposure, aperture & shutter speeds. I think stop action photos were my favorite! I would love to have a dark room, but it seems the days of 35mm film are over! I started doing digital photography around 2005, when I got my first Nikon. My husband (boyfriend at the time) was in a band, so I was commissioned to be the photographer. He was in local bands for many years and I was always the photographer! He also does hot rod restorations and builds custom cars. So I have always done the vehicles photo shoots when they are done, as well as the car shows! My friends of course see the photos I have taken (on facebook and me shoving them in their faces) and have asked me to do photo shoots for them or their kids. I have shot a couple weddings. Senior pictures. Newborn photos. Pin Up & Lingerie Shoots. Engagement & Baby Announcements. Bridal Showers. Say Yes to the dress shoots. And I am open to new things! If you have an idea, let me know! My love for the camera has been on both ends. At a very young age I also loved modeling, as does almost any girl! I went to a lot of model scout auditions and was picked several times. One even wanted to take me to New York, but I was in high school and I would be by myself, so my parents said no. I continued to model into my 20's. I did a photo shoot for a magazine in Miami and some other side modeling jobs but it never became professional. I let it all fall to the wayside and began my professional life in the automotive industry. Where the past 8 years I spent working in dealerships. From service to fleet to retail finance then finally sales manager, very rare for a female! In September 2015 I was diagnosed with Gastroparesis, it's an illness of the stomach. Due to the illness I am no longer able to work a normal job. This has given me time! Time I haven't had in so long! (If you know anyone in the automotive industry you know they become married to the job and spend more time at work than at home, it's part of the business!) So, I have been able to find myself again! Remember what it is I love to do...PHOTOGRAPHY! I keep asking myself why I haven't done it...it's always been my dream. So now I am going to make my dream become a reality! You are not given a dream unless you have the capacity to fulfill it!!!! I also love to shoot nature & old architecture in my free time! Black & White photos still have a special place in my heart :)
