One year ago our family had yet another life altering event happen. At 2:30am we received a knock on our door that carried news that we did not want, nor expect to receive. Fire.
Crazy to think that it has been one year already since we lost:
-our family business
-memories of time spent creating the space
-space that provided memories to others
-a space that held hopes and dreams of future hopes and dreams for and with our kids
As we reflect back on the journey that started with an idea back in 2012, but the sweat equity began October of 2016. We then saw the doors open to the public July 2017 until November 30, 2023.
We constantly get people asking us if we are going to rebuild. There are so many layers to that answer when people ask us. Do we want to rebuild? Of course. Did we have insurance? Yes, but not enough to cover the current costs of rebuilding (sadly a 2X4 today is not the same price from 2016). Do we have jobs that we enjoy currently? Yes, times two. Do we miss the space? More than any words could be uttered.
We trust in God who has been and is still with us. This journey of working together as a family was experienced for a few years. We had six great years of blessing others and creating space for others to gather. It still feels like a loss of a family member to us at times. We truly do feel like this epic adventure is not over, we just are not sure what the next step will look like.
The Triple Box is not gone, even though we do not have a building anymore. We look to 2025 to see what lays ahead. We had six years of hard work. One year of rest. Now, we look forward to the future as we plow new fields.
