I’m pretty proud to announce that after 36 years, Creative Parties For Kids has once again won the honor of being voted OC BEST KIDS PARTY COMPANY By Parenting Magazine’s Reader’s Choice Awards!
I want to personally think every person who has gotten into a costume over the last 36 years and who has actively engaged thousands of children to use their imagination, play pretend and celebrate life. I started this company many years ago when asked to dress up and dance around someone’s living room I had no idea that it was gonna grow into something or be in business this long. I never could’ve done any of this without all of you , thank you thank you so much. Also, I want to thank Melanie Hinchee who make sure that all of the wigs are styled and all of the costumes are in order, my amazing business partner John, who keeps everything together and all of my support team, Sean Arnold, Mallory, Kerwin, and Danielle Brenes and David Gorgie & Jenny

Today we would like to honor a true professional princess & entertainer who has also been attending college throughout her career at Creative Parties For Kids, Miss Danielle Marie Brenes, who is also our casting director!
She has grown up here and we have watched her grow from a baby princess to a true young queen, all the while working very hard at the challenging position of casting director.
We are so very proud of you Danielle. Last night she got a medal for academic excellence a medal for cm laude.

Creative Parties For Kids - The Original Children’s Party Company....since 1988
Lisa K Cohen was a dance and drama teacher since she was 14 years old. Dance-On-Wheels - Creative Arts for Kids provided arts education classes to over 43 schools throughout the LA area. One day someone asked her to dance at their child’s party.....putting together her degree in theatre & years of performing experience ...Creative Parties For Kids started providing theatrical, creative “edutainment” style kids parties & events.
The company has gone though many births and re-births and prides itself not only on lovely costuming and professional entertainers but their focus on creative inter-active play. Each week Lisa auditions and trains new talent and explains that the magic of the imagination and the child’s desire to pretend and play is the most important identifying factor of this company and what sets them apart.
Not only does Creative Parties For Kids provide character entertainment for birthday parties and school functions, but has expanded into corporate and marketing events for shopping malls, company holiday events, and community celebrations. “If you can dream it.....we can do it”, is the company motto. This happens often when a client calls and asks for a custom character that none of the other event companies offer. Such themes as Minecraft & Fortnite that are part of popular culture are some of the recent additions to the offerings available from Creative Parties For Kids .
Recently, the company has expanded into creating what the director refers to as “Pinterest Parties”....these are parties where the client can send them a photo of how they want their party or event to look and Creative Parties For Kids creates the decor, entertainment, catering to the desired theme and look. Normally, parties like these are super-expensive, but because they are offering an affordable package, more people have been able to enjoy a truly elegant experience and a truly amazing price. “Pinterest” Party Packages are an awesome new addition to Creative Parties For Kids available packages. Recent themes have been, “Mystery Party”, “Polynesian Party”, “Masha & The Bear”, “Elegant Elmo” and many more.
Educationally based in origin and syle, Creative Parties For Kid also creates school performances and after school programs. The director, Lisa Cohen, is also teacher and loves to bring the magic of creative arts to children. Some of her performers, for example...Hayden Allcorn (who now is a Magic Castle Magician ) was her student at an after school drama program over 15 years ago. The talent from Creative Parties For Kids emanates from local theatre talent, Orange County School of the Arts, Chapman University, California State Fullerton and many professional actors and entertainers from LA and OC. Once they have auditioned and been hired they attend a full training program, training parties and events and are offered on-going training at our professional studio based in Orange, CA.
Holidays are busy at Creative Parties For Kids. Santa Claus OC, Classic Carolers, and Easter Bunny OC are divisions of Creative Parties For Kids. During the Christmas season last year they had over 165 events happen over the course of 4 weeks. Santa Claus and the Mrs.and all of the elves, The Grinch, custom winter themed characters keep very busy. In addition our professional photographer , John Cox takes photos at events. This year Creative Parties For Kids had the wonderful opportunity to learn to sell photo packages at “WinterFest OC “ at the Orange County Fairgrounds. The Easter Bunny and friends were also hoppin’ over at Bella Terra Mall.
Creative Parties For Kids is a resilient company, and like the phoenix rose from the ashes. After a devastating fire destroyed every costume, prop and computer the company owned the core team and the owner had to reach down deep into their souls to re-create the company. The insurance did not cover the content of the facility. All was lost....or so it seemed. The horrific tragedy helped the company rise to greater heights, for it is with great challenges that we become stronger, more creative and reslient. Creative Parties For Kids continues with it’s mission statement of bringing the magic of pretend to each and every event they facilitate and each and every person they touch.
