Hello! Its been awhile and we are truly sorry for that. For the past 5 years (not counting 2020) we have dedicated almost everyday to our work with Pocket. 2020 was not a kind year for anyone and we are no different. We experienced a couple losses in 2020, in addition to the pandemic, that made us take a step back and shift focus on ourselves and our family. In this time, we were able to reconnect as a couple without the stresses of running a business. It was a real change for us. We had big plans for Pocket in 2020 but 2020 had different plans for us. Through the losses we gained a realization of what was truly important to us and we decided to cancel the wedding we planned for later this year and got hitched on December 23rd, 2020.

We love the music community that has welcomed us and supported us throughout the years and we hope to be back soon when we feel it is appropriate for us and safe to do so. With that being said, we have received some inquiries as to if there will be a Skacademy Awards. After much deliberation and consideration, we have decided to skip this year and hopefully resume in 2022 or when it is safe to do so. We understand that this is a bummer and believe us when we say, that we are bummed too. We just wish to spend a little more time with our family to navigate these unprecedented times.. While we made this decision to not have the event this year, we do invite you to share your favorite Skacademy Awards memories with us! We love you all and we cannot wait to see you all soon. It's with a heavy heart that we will be joining the ranks with canceled/postponed events. We will be coming back as soon as we can and are currently working on a new date for GoGo13 & Codename: Rocky at House of Blues. All ticket purchases made through our website will be refunded by the end of the week. Please be safe and mindful, we are all in this together ❤️

Our Story

Pocket Entertainment was formed at the beginning of 2016 following the success of the First Annual Skacademy Awards in Orange County. Founders and partners Cameron Hallenbeck and Whitney Dunkle started the production team as a way to foster young musicians, bring attention to local artists and businesses and develop fun ways for the community to come together and support live music and causes throughout the community.
