Happy International Ice cream day! Although, do you actually need an international day for ice cream?? 😝

This park has a special place in my heart. The childhood memories. The monkey pond. Who remembers the monkey pond? 🙈 😂

For me Central Park is probably the only park that competes. Some will say there’s no comparison and well, ok. But this is where all of my cousins played growing up under these majestic wooden canopies, riding ponies. Where my grandparents 50th anniversary took place with 65 cousins and 13 aunts n uncles. (Was my grandfather Irish Catholic? Partly and at one time lol But my grandmother’s native American heritage probably contributed to their 15 children). Where we celebrated my parents 35th? Anniversary and should probably celebrate their 70th when that comes along. Where my sons were taught to fish with their friends when they were little, where my youngest sons high school graduation party/drive-by took place towards the end of the pandemic and where CDPC was born.

What memories do you have of Waller Park? Would love to hear about them.

And if you haven’t been here….It’s such a beautiful place to get some steps in, connect with loved ones, play, or picnic, and feel like you’re in another place. I’m always surprised at how many people live in Orcutt and have never been here. This client was traveling from Fresno and made it a surprise stop on the way down the coast.

How do you feel about tea parties?

English, Japanese, Moroccan, Mad Hatter, we love them all, but I have to say, we already had everything for this one since it’s one of my faves and I did a couple of tables for 10 before. Years ago before CDP. Although I look at the photos from then and cringe a bit. Lol I still love them, but I would do a few things differently now. Details. 👌 I love this luxury picnic tablescape and will have to share the process and some behind the scenes.

Can one cringe and love at the same time? 😝 Good thing this one is all love!

Who else has a thing for snowflakes ❄️? Here on our Central Coast this is the only type we get though. 😁 …even in January we’ve had some gorgeous sunny days.

In my coat typing this out today and getting ready for an indoor event, but also looking forward to the following weekend with 72 degrees outdoors. 👌

I’m loving the hambre napkin look on this tablescape 😍 It was also fun styling the tables differently while still coordinating them. What do you think of the hambre napkin style?

We were able to setup in the front courtyard with an ocean view for this 24 guest setup. Everything was absolutely beautiful…especially the people. And their little boy came out, took one look, and says to his sister, “Where are you sitting? I’m sitting out herrrre!” Just touched my heart.

The neighbors stopped to take photos before guests arrived and the clients were ecstatic not to have to dishes when we drove away. Lol
