I have been working on the old adage "less is more". I think with food this is especially true. Often I find myself trying to make a dish with 6,7,8 components instead of letting a couple great ingredients executed properly shine. Sean Brock says something along the lines of: "when you think a dish is done take one thing away." I dig that.
