My name is Krystal Reeb and I am the owner of Buzzy Blooms Flower Farm, LLC, located at 12497 Ballah Rd in Orient, Ohio. Buzzy Blooms is a family-owned flower farm bringing fresh-cut flowers, seasonal produce, and more to our local community. My hope is to bring you a local place to pick up (or build your own) flower arrangment that will brighten your home or that of someone you care about. They c

Buzzy Blooms is a self-service farm stand where we accept cash, Venmo and CashApp. We also bring our flowers to local farmers markets so follow along for updates from the farm! Buzzy Blooms is also a part of Reeb's Farm Market located at 10660 US 23 N, Lockbourne, OH. Reeb's Farm Market is owned and run by wonderful in-laws, Buddy and Linda Reeb. 🍂 I can't help myself. We NEED fresh flowers at Holly Happenings because flowers make everything better! So this girl is about to be your first stop.

I've always needed a creative and active outlet, and my love for growing beautiful blooms drives everything I do. But I will be honest. My creative juices are dying to play with fresh flowers to make beautiful floral arrangements.

Seeing my eucalyptus stand strong after the first freeze while other flowers have faded has only deepened my passion. To continue bringing you the arrangements you love, I'll be supplementing our locally grown flowers with a curated selection of high-quality wholesale blooms. Rest assured, each flower will be carefully chosen to meet our standards, so you’ll always receive vibrant, beautiful arrangements that brighten your day.

🎃 PUMPKINS 🎃

Before there were flowers there were pumpkins! When my husband and I started dating in high school (yes, high school sweethearts) we also started growing giant pumpkins together. He was more into the growing and I was more into the annoying him, but regardless, it's kinda cool to watch these pumpkins grow!

Now days, we grow prize winners and Giants for competition and to watch our friend Gus Squashcarver create amazing artwork!

🧊 How did I forget to post these beautiful pictures from last week's visit from Jack frost? While some of the cut flowers are hardy and can make it through a freeze, many of the focal flowers use the first freeze to say, "See you next year!" 🧊

Each part of the season brings new beauty, but this still and quiet beauty is a favorite.

Now...back to cleaning out the fields.

While the winds shortened our cut flower season--I feel so lucky to have grown in my skills and lived in this beautiful space.

Thank you to each of you for your support in my second year of flower farming. A special shout out to Pick'em Up Joe Coffee Co. and Pettit's Market-Commercial Point for allowing me to grow Buzzy Blooms by selling our bouquets and sharing your customers.

IMPORTANT UPDATE 😣

Sadly, the recent wind from the remnants of Hurricane Helene did a number to our flower field.

We will be taking the rest of the week to assess the field and determine next steps.

Therefore, bouquets will not be available at Pick'em Up Joe Coffee Co this week.

We truly appreciate your ongoing support!

Bouquets will be available at Pick'em Up Joe Coffee Co. this week until sold out. The days are getting shorter and the flowers are getting fewer so be sure to take them in before the first freeze.

What a great season to share bouquets at Pettit's Market. We will no longer be stocking the market as our season slowly comes to an end, but I can't wait to return in the spring!

Scrolling through Instagram today I was reading how the drought has impacted farmers across Ohio. One flower farmer said, "Farming is like sweaty gambling." She hit the nail on the head.

I'm honestly shocked and blessed that we still have flowers and that our fields were able to produce pumpkins. When I look back next year I hope the grass is greener, the weeds are my only worry, and I recognize the resilience we had this season.

I appreciate each and every one of you who kept me motivated this season and continue to purchase locally grown/made products. 💜💐

The owners and employees at Pick'em Up Joe Coffee Co. have made my second year in flower farming one filled with joy. I enjoy dropping off the flowers every Tuesday to get to talk with them and feel part of a community.

Let's start with the fact that there are so many ways to do something right! This is just what works for me. 1. **Digging Up Tubers**: After the first frost blackens the foliage, cut the dahlia stems down to about 4-6 inches. Carefully dig around the plant to avoid damaging the tubers, then gently lift them out of the ground with a garden fork or spade. 2. **Cleaning and Dividing**: Brush off excess soil from the tubers and let them dry for a day or two in a cool, shaded area. Divide the tubers, making sure each division has at least one "eye" (growth point), which is essential for sprouting next season. 3. **Storing**: Place the cleaned and divided tubers in a ventilated container with peat moss, sawdust, or vermiculite to prevent them from drying out.
