How old-school is this? I still include a handwritten “thank you” note in each package I mail out. Not surprisingly, I also still write all my thoughts and notes on a digital notebook before I transfer them to my computer or transcribe them. There is just something so cathartic about seeing my most personal thoughts and ideas revealed in the swirls, flourishes, and curls of good cursive ink. Makes it feel more personal. Do you still write in cursive? What do you think of my handwritten note habit? Outdated or classic?

Is there anything you are a bit insecure about? For me, it’s that I’m a recovering perfectionist. Although I struggle with this, I am working every day to turn things around by reminding myself that making mistakes is part of being human. What are you insecure about, and how do you overcome it? What’s your favorite part of the Holiday season? While I love it when the community get decked out in twinkle lights, my absolute favorite is my neighbor 3 doors down who puts up an amazing, elaborate musical display (this year it’s featuring “You’re a Mean One, Mr. Grinch,” “The Git Down,” and Mariah Carey’s rendition of “All I Want for Christmas is You”). Christmas Day is also my oldest daughter’s birthday, so that’s always a vibe!

When it comes to my business, this time of year is usually spent closing off the year by tying up loose ends and preparing for engagement season. But today officially kicks off my Holiday. For the next few days you’ll find me volunteering at the Hope Center, baking cookies, visiting my daughter in spinal rehab, trying a few new gourmet recipes, and attending the annual neighborhood Candlelight Celebration. It’s going to be a busy one! Sooo… I’ll be back in the office on January 3rd. Enjoy your Holidays!

If all of the twinkle lights and mulled wine has you wondering what the Holidays is like in the Caribbean or whether those Holiday markets in Europe really are worth the visit, it may be a sign that you should do some exploring next Christmas.

San Miguel de Allende because the entire city is lit up with glamorous lights through the streets and buildings. Celebrating Christmas in San Miguel de Allende is a soulful affair where people prepare ponche (mulled fruit drink), posadas, and beautiful piñatas. What an experience to observe with your lifelong besties.

Tulum Beach is a prime location for an elevated experience that transcends time and space. Tulum is a high-energy field that magnifies the energies of its visitors. There are two types of traveling foodies — those who plan ahead and those who like to go with the flow.

Planning ahead can be great, allowing you to cast a wide net and hit the ground running, or eating, depending on how you’d like to look at it, when you touch down in your destination. But not planning can also result in fun and interesting experiences.

My friend Mochi, the cat, is all about planning. He's very much into knowing what to expect and when. Meanwhile, I tend to lean more towards exploring and picking as I go.

Happy ! In case you didn't know, I'm a HUGE Disney fan, an even bigger Mickey Mouse fan, and an ultimate foodie.

As it turns out, Disney World is actually a food lover’s dream with lots of options that really are delicious. While mapping out your meals (what, you don’t do that?), be sure to consult this list to avoid any unwanted FOMF (fear of missing food). From classic fan favorites to hidden gems, in honor of the Mouse himself, here is a list of some of the best things you can eat and drink while visiting the most magical place on earth.

DOLE WHIP: Hit up Aloha Isle in Magic Kingdom's Adventureland to choose from four different soft-serve flavors: pineapple (the OG), orange, vanilla or swirled.

MICKEY MOUSE WAFFLES: Just one of many Mickey-shaped treats you’ll find available at Disney (and this one’s acceptable to eat before 9 a.m.). Head to Sleepy Hollow in Magic Kingdom's Liberty Square to snap your own waffle selfie.

ALADDIN MAGIC CARPET PETIT CAKE: New to the Disney lineup (and just in time for the live-action film), these adorable little cakes are only available at Amorette’s Patisserie, a high-end pastry shop in Disney Springs.

CARAMEL APPLES: You’ll spot some version of this sticky treat in any of the four Disney parks, but this adorable Winnie-the-Pooh-themed “hunny” pot creation in the Magic Kingdom has got to be our fav.

LOADED MAC AND CHEESE FOOD TRUCK: Located on the west side of Disney Springs (which you don’t need a ticket to go to…just sayin’), this food truck boasts an impressively cheesy menu of macaroni meals.

So I hear today is . Does that mean all day is happy hour? Does that make it ? Who knows? Well, whether it's an all-day affair, or starts at five, let's toast to and with an authentic and delicious cocktail recipe from our friends at .

Victoria Tropicale

1 ½ oz Mezcal Amores
dash lemon
dash simple syrup
½ pc kiwi
½ slice pineapple
½ cup crushed ice
1 tbsp Tajin (chili salt)


Combine the kiwi and pineapple in a blender and strain to separate the liquid from the pulp. Pour liquid into a shaker along with the mezcal, simple syrup, lemon juice, and ice. Shake strongly. Serve in a martini glass previously rimmed with tajin chili salt.

US Thanksgiving is coming, and if you’re anything like me, you’re already planning your menu! That also means after an intentionally decadent feast on the second Sunday in November, my kitchen is officially closed for large and elaborate meals until after Nov 25, ya feel me?

Momma needs to build up her stamina for an epic two days of cooking and one unbelievably wonderful day of EATING! 🍽️

Ok, admittedly, I don't know if that's an actual term, but it's ok because I'm sure 99.9% of you lovely professional know exactly what I'm talking about. So, because someone was gracious enough to remind me that my path is perfect for me, I thought it only fitting to do the same for you, lovely. Take YOUR time. Your blessing is waiting for you in God’s perfect timing and when the time comes for you to bloom, it will be… well, perfect. Question: have you ever dealt with comparisonitis?
