HINT no. 2: August 2025 Name That Tune
In 2023 Rapper Paul Russell released a preview to his new song on TikTok and it immediately went viral. The song “Lil Boo Thang” is a cute upbeat jam that takes its backbeat and roots from the 70s funk legends. And for the older generation out there, the term “lil boo thang” refers to a relationship where you are “talking and hanging out” but not quite girlfriend and boyfriend. HINT no. 1: August 2025 Name That Tune
Released as the lead single from ABBA’s fourth studio album in 1976, “Dancing Queen" is a Europop/disco song about the joy and freedom you feel while dancing. The band’s name "ABBA" is an acronym formed from the first letters of each member's first name: Agnetha, Björn, Benny, Anni-Frid, although there has never been any official confirmation of who each letter in the sequence refers to. In 1997 Benny and Bjorn of ABBA decided to create a musical full of their most famous songs. First performed in 1999, “Mamma Mia!” delighted the stage using 23 different ABBA songs, and in 2008 delighted the screen as well. Click the link below to listen to “Dancing Queen” by ABBA.

August 2025 Trivia Hints!
This month is FLASH BACK month! We are re-capping questions and songs from the last Three Years that we have been hosting! So let’s take a moment and remember something about our ability to remember!

Discovered by psychologists in the 1950s, it is said that the average brain can only hold about seven items at once in its short term memory, but if you compile ideas into a single “folder” you are able to remember more at once. For instance, the Orlando area codes are made up of three numbers, but our memories have compiled them into one single idea: 407. 321. 689. Thus, taking up less mental space! It is also said to help prevent dementia, certain brain games like crossword puzzles, sudoku, and even TRIVIA are spectacular at boosting the brain’s health! In people with ADHD, their memory may not be as strong as someone without. People with ADHD often have difficulty remembering instructions in order to finish a task and a “disorganized” information storing system - which can cause an inability to easily find information stored in the brain! Good brain health vitamins like Omega 3 and Ginkgo have the ability to naturally help us get our memories back in shape! But always consult your doctor first if you plan on taking any vitamins. It’s amazing what that little mushy blob in our skulls can do!

HINT No 2 July 2025 Name That Tune

The Presidents of the United States of America were a 90s band known for their quirky, playful, and often nonsensical lyrics. The song "Lump" was released in 1995 on their self-titled debut album and became a hit, reaching number one on Billboard's Modern Rock Tracks chart. It became so popular even Weird Al made a mock of it with his version “Gump”: Gump sat alone on a bench in the park. "My name is Forrest", he'd casually remark. Waitin' for the bus with his hands in his pockets. He just kept sayin' life is like a box of chocolates.” Click the link below to listen to “Lump” by The Presidents of the United States of America.

HINTS for July 2025 Trivia!

Generations are typically defined as groups of people born around the same time who share common cultural and historical experiences, shaping their values and perspectives. While there isn't one universally agreed-upon definition, common generations include The Silent Generation, Baby Boomers, Gen X, Millennials, Gen Z, and the most recent, Gen Alpha. The dates for these generations vary depending who you talk to, but are relatively similar. However, trying to place every single person inside an invisible box never works. That’s why some people have created alternate micro-generation titles such as Gen Jones: the generation between Boomers & Gen X, Xennials: the generation between Millennials and Gen X, and Zalpha (I’ll let you guess which generations that is between). The next generation to join us on this lovely planet will be Gen Beta. Gen Beta is projected to include those born from 2025 to 2039, making Gen Beta the second generation to be born entirely within the 21st century, after Gen Alpha! How cool is that!

HINT No 1 for June 2025 Name That Tune

"Here Comes the Hotstepper" by Ini Kamoze, released in 1994, became a massive hit despite a somewhat unconventional path to success. Initially recorded in 1992, the song was included on a compilation album and later remixed with a sample from Taana Gardner's "Heartbeat", which significantly boosted its appeal. The song's popularity surged after it was featured in the film "Prêt-à-Porter" and gained significant airplay on influential New York radio stations. It topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart and achieved platinum status, becoming a global dancefloor anthem and popularizing the term "hotstepper".
