So after many hours and many days LRAV was able to work with multiple county detectives across the whole state to plan out and to put an end to a ring of stolen audio visual gear and unpaid rentals. We are talking 100’s of thousands of dollars.

The man behind bars for good is Willie James Simpson JR. He told many people he is a pastor needing gear for his church.

What he was doing was picking up rental gear and taking it to pawn shops all over the state of FL for cash.

Payments were always cancel or not cleared together with using bad checks.

If you know of anyone still missing money or gear please show them this post. If you are missing money or gear please fill out a police report with your local police and give all the info you can like serial numbers of the gear and etc.

Your stuff is likely in a pawn shop across FL. In some cases, more than one pawn shop. The detectives have started putting holds on everything with this guys name on it so your stuff should be safe.

This is all being submitted to a state wide detective on Monday which should help in recovery and making sure this guy never does this again but again, please still do your reports with your local county sheriffs.

If anyone needs more info in the matter please email [email protected] and we will continue to do our best to help everyone. There is so much information it would make for an already long post be longer. We love our industry and we’ll do anything to protect it.
