Here’s How We Fixed It 💁🏻♀️
No use crying over bumped into cake 🥲 This was a first for all of us (and hopefully a last!!). I will never forget walking over to my bride Marielena as she pulled me aside with her eyes wide and yelling GINA HOW COULD THIS HAPPEN?!?! I look over and there is the wedding cake having a party of its own on the floor 😅
I was lucky in the sense that Mari had set me up to mess with us (she even asked the videographers to record my reaction). She watched me as the apologies started coming out, but didn’t leave me hanging for too long thankfully. She started laughing hysterically, and she knew I cared so much. By this point, she was having the best night she could have ever asked for and there was nothing we could do (at least for that cake). We assume someone had bumped into the cake table mistakenly 🫣
As coordinators, we acted swiftly and arranged a replacement cake from our favorite wedding cake vendor, Publix! @publix has THE BEST WEDDING CAKES and they are always our first recommendation hands down! They hooked us up on the fly so the guests still could enjoy their cake for the evening, while Mari and Chris got these adorably memorable shots with @yesidoproduction !! We also got them some late night bites (and definitely a refund 🤣).
You can plan and plan and plan, but friendly reminder that something might not go perfectly on wedding day, but how you handle it will make all the difference! Mari and Chris, thanks for being the best!

A Magical Shoutout 🥲
What a beautiful wedding weekend in the Florida Keys we got to be apart of with Kathleen & Ryan!! We came in a few months before to help tie off all the loose ends, meet with vendors, design the floor plan, assist with timelines, and throw one heck of a beach party!! We absolutely adore these two and were so honored to be apart of their special day!

Timelines are EVERYTHING ⏱️
Your wedding timeline is crucial to a perfect wedding day, but even more important is actually following that timeline! When you create your wedding timeline, it is important to remember your wedding will only last for so long! Don’t let time slip away!! The best vendors know how important it is to stay on time, and here’s some tips for timeline planning:
1. Leave some buffer time for the unexpected. Things happen, and the best favor you can do for your self is leave some buffer times throughout your timeline so you can always catch up as the night goes on!
2. Confirm ALL the vendors. This is something your planner will do but for those planning on their own, you NEED to confirm vendor arrival start and end times and make sure it lines up with your day!
3. Be mindful of the sunset 🌅 we recommend your ceremony time be at least 1.5 hours before sunset time if your heart is set on daylight photos. A first look can help with getting all the shots in!
4. Don’t forget to add your important traditions or wishlist items to your wedding so you don’t forget to do them on the day of!
5. CAP 👏 THE 👏 SPEECHES. 3-5 per person, please and thank youuuuuuuuu.
