Hey there! Usually I wouldn’t post this but I wanted to share a bit of a life update. As some of you may know, I have intracranial hypertension. For my specific case, it is caused by the veins in my head being too small, making it difficult to carry the oxygen poor blood from my brain out to my heart.

Although my condition is neurological, most of my surgery is handled in the cardiac unit of the hospital.

Anyways - yesterday was the first test to confirm if I am a candidate for a stent. The test is called a cerebral angiogram. The test is not complex (but I would not say it’s a walk in the park). The test involves using a catheter in the groin in the vein and artery and using a special dye to take images of the brain. Once pressure is confirmed and the veins are confirmed I’ll be told if I am a candidate for a stent (which I am).
A stent should help alleviate the pressure by widening the veins.

Every time I go on my back porch and see this giant lily that started as a small bag of roots that my sister Sieara Taylor gave me for Mother’s Day last year, I’m reminded that big things come in small packages.

Take care of your plants and they will take care of you. This one is so large it’s damn near touching the ceiling. Lol 😂 it’s nearly 10ft tall I tell you. Just from a bag of roots.

Today was the one year anniversary of my sisters passing, Sieara Taylor . Anyone who knew her, knew she was a loving as***le. I miss her random calls about ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. Those little things are what I miss the most. Sleep well. The plant bulbs she gave me for mother's day have really grown up. A lil hot from all this sun but she'd love it.

For those asking how she passed away - she passed away because of life. She passed away surrounded by love. She passed away in ICU room 9. She passed away with a pain scale set at 10. She passed away over ten years ago when we buried my niece.

She battled demons like everybody else. If you truly knew her like I did then you know what killed her. Her life was tragic - a lifetime movie wouldn't even do it justice. But who cares. Sieara Taylor was my 4'11 97lb sister. She was small but man she was fearless.

She LOVED the beach.
She LOVED Golden Girls.
She LOVED the movie Beaches.
She LOVED everyone.

She was intense. She had various personality disorders. She would call me and say, "Chels, I love you sis you know how to calm me down. You the real Kombaya type." Or call me just to tell me she watching Beaches or Golden Girls and would be singing off key.

We've known for a long time my sister needed help.
I regret not answering my phone for her too often because I knew she would pass one day. That's on me. I knew all of her secrets because she knew that no matter how angry I got I would never tell anyone.

But life failed her. So please stop asking how she passed away. It's irrelevant. What matters is how she lived, who she was.

She was a friend to many. A mother. A sister. A soul sister. A little wife. A daughter. A granddaughter. A cousin. A niece. She was a Golden Girl.

We won't get to put mom Latasha in Shady Oaks retirement together lol 🤣 😂 I guess Anastacia will have to be my number too, but she a softy lol.

I'm not the religious type and if you knew her - she wasn't really, but at the same time she was. I believe that her life her on Earth was hell and she deserved the best damn heaven possible surrounded by her favorite people at her favorite place - the beach.

Somewhere out there is my sister making a fuss laughing, and being goofy. That's what matters.
