Aaaan another 5-Star!
"Having great food at our wedding was one of our top priorities—especially because our families are very honest (and often tough!) critics when it comes to food. Initially, I was nervous about being required to use Big City Catering when we booked Cypress Grove Estate House as our venue. After working with them, however, I would absolutely choose them again for any future event. For our cocktail hour, we selected the sushi station, sesame meatballs, and crab cakes. Guests raved about how beautiful the sushi setup looked and how flavorful everything tasted. There was more than enough food to go around—several guests even mentioned they felt full before the reception dinner had started. One of the biggest highlights was Big City’s flexibility. Although they provide a set list of menu options, during the tasting, they specifically encouraged us to mix and match proteins, sauces, and styles to create dishes that felt customized to us. They even created specialty sushi rolls based on our preferences, which we really appreciated. Throughout the planning process, Kristina was our main point of contact, and she was wonderful to work with. She was warm, communicative, and incredibly patient with my many questions. She consistently went above and beyond to accommodate requests and ensure we felt confident in the menu and logistics. With our guest count of 155, Big City Catering also included two full bars with four bartenders at no additional charge. On top of that, they provided “VIP service” for us as the bride and groom —which meant we never had to walk up to a buffet or bar. Our plates were brought to us, and our drinks were refreshed all night, which allowed us to fully enjoy the evening without worrying about logistics. Most importantly, the food was genuinely delicious. Even our family members who are notoriously picky were impressed and shared how much they enjoyed their meals. Overall, Big City Catering exceeded our expectations in both quality and service, and we are so grateful for the role they played in making our wedding such a memorable experience."
