I’m so excited to share Neida and Jaime’s live wedding painting from this weekend! I absolutely loved painting all the details in Neida’s dress right down to the feathers at the bottom 🪶 This is a 22” x 28” vertical painting which is quickly becoming my favorite size and orientation these days! I can’t believe it’s been over two months since I got to create this live wedding painting for Paige and Jacob! This year has really flown by and I can’t believe it’s almost halfway over 🤯 This was my first time painting a Greek Orthodox wedding ceremony and I loved getting to add in all of the details!

Happy Mother’s Day! This wedding painting of Megan and her mom Jennifer will always hold such a special place in our hearts 💕

Some backstory: MOB Jennifer had booked Jamie for two wedding paintings, one of which was to focus on Megan’s wedding ceremony, but the subject of the second painting was pretty up in the air. When Megan surprised her mom with a special dance just for the two of them during the reception, we all knew that it absolutely had to be the focus of painting #2!

This painting was mostly done in studio after Megan’s wedding all the way back in February 2021! It’s crazy how much time has passed and how much love (both romantic and familial) we’ve celebrated since then!

I’m so excited to finally share Bailey and Daniel’s live wedding painting from all the way back in early March! I loved getting to include their furbaby Nova in their ceremony painting, and I also absolutely loved that the couple chose a brunch wedding which is always a huge treat. 🧇🥂 It’s always such a relaxing vibe and, fun fact- Amanda and I are huge Jimmy Buffett fans which makes this venue an extra fun one for us whenever our couples get married there! Thank you so much to Bailey and Daniel for having me and congrats again you two!

About last weekend 🤩 I absolutely loved creating Marissa and Jake’s wedding painting! Marissa had a specific vision for her painting which included darker lighting in the ceremony space than the lighting would have naturally been during the ceremony time. The beautiful thing about wedding paintings is that we can use our imagination to craft whatever scene you envision, and Marissa’s creativity with her painting vision definitely paid off here! I absolutely love how this painting turned out and it was a fun change to be able to paint the outdoor courtyard of Lightner Museum rather than the indoor space I usually paint there. I was so honored to be a part of Marissa and Jake’s big day! Congratulations you two and thank you again for having me! 🎉

About last night ❤️‍🔥 It was such a joy to create my last Treasury on the Plaza wedding painting of 2023 for Machaela and Nico last night! Treasury is one of my most frequently painted venues every year, and I love how many love stories I get to capture there! Ending another year of Treasury paintings with this stunning sparkler-filled first dance was certainly a treat ✨ Congratulations again to Machaela and Nico!

Hi everyone 👋 we wanted to share an important update with you all today.

Over the past few weeks we’ve gotten to celebrate several late November and early December couples, and there’s been so many beautiful love stories to cherish. You may have noticed, though, that our social media has been a little quiet. It’s admittedly been pretty rough for us be around so much love when we’ve just lost some ourselves.

Those of you who know us personally know that we are cat parents first and everything else second. Unfortunately, a little over a week ago, we had to say goodbye to one of our babies completely unexpectedly. Our Jessie was just nine years old. She was one of the Chief Kitty Officers of Event Painting by Jamie and she had been with us long before we ever started this business and even before we moved to Florida.

Our six year wedding anniversary was this Saturday, so I wanted to share our own wedding painting that Jamie created from one of our photos back in early 2018. Jessie is on the right. (And swipe for our favorite photo of her. ❤️)

We will continue to share highlights of our 2023 year as we did earlier today, and our office/email is still very much open. In other words, our operations haven’t changed at all, so don’t be alarmed if you notice a bit of a quieter presence here on our social media for now while we take time to continue the grieving process.

Thank you to anyone who has ever asked Jamie to include your pets in your wedding paintings. It means so much to be able to share in your love for your fur children. I also wanted to extend a special thanks to anyone who has asked Jamie to include dearly departed relatives in their painting, and we hope each and every couple has felt a positive impact from this intimate expression of your grief. It’s always such an honor to share in those moments with you.

Happy Monday! We are thankful for so much this week, and one of the things we are most thankful for is how often we get to be a part of Philly weddings! Those who know us know that while we technically reside in Florida, we keep a second studio location in the Philly suburbs and try to serve our Philly couples as often as possible. This painting is from Kevin and Jaqueline’s wedding back in August at the Crystal Tea Room and it could not have been more beautiful. Congratulations again you two!

🎶 Hey there, hi there, ho there! 🎶

We realized it’s been a ~minute~ since we put our faces on the feed, and when we received our awesome branding session photos yesterday from we knew we had to share at least one! Swipe for a touch of small biz owner expectation vs reality, though ➡️ one thing not many people realize is that we work on EPBJ 24/7. Whether we are in the office or out on the town (or serving our boss Hades) we are always checking emails, fielding calls, making sure we haven’t missed anything on social media, and prepping for our upcoming events. It can definitely be tough sometimes, but we wouldn’t have it any other way and we are so grateful for what we get to do. ❤️

Since we haven’t done this in a while, I thought I’d share a few fun facts about us for anyone who is new here!

Fun facts about Jamie:
- Before live painting full time, Jamie worked as an illustrator and even has several children’s books published with Scholastic!
- Jamie is a lifelong artist and earned his BFA from Ringling College of Art + Design in Sarasota, FL in 2008.
- In high school, Jamie was active in choir and even had some solos and arranged a ca****la sheet music for his choir group!

Fun facts about Amanda:
- Due to some weird serendipitous timing, Amanda has actually been working full time on EPBJ longer than Jamie has! Amanda started working full time on EPBJ in 2019.
- Amanda is a lifelong musical theater fan, with her two favorite musicals being The Producers and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.
- One of Amanda’s favorite things about running EPBJ is getting to travel the country for events. Amanda’s favorite EPBJ travel destination so far as been New Orleans!

If you’ve read this far, one more fun fact you should know about us is that we have a podcast all about live event painting, ! Season 2 starts next week and we can’t wait 🎉

Starting off August with two deliveries! These two paintings are complete opposites- a ceremony vs a first dance, a bright scene vs a dark and moody scene, and included guests vs no included guests! It’s so much fun to think about the endless possibilities of wedding paintings and these two contrasting paintings really show the range of those possibilities perfectly! Thank you so much to Valerie + Alex and Marissa + John for having Jamie paint your beautiful big days! We thought today was the perfect day to share one of our published weddings from this week! It’s so hard to believe that we haven’t shared Jess and Chris’s wedding from last fall since it was one of our absolute favorites! This beautiful waterfront brunch wedding was just published in which is super exciting as well. I feel like Jamie is in his dip/kiss era lately and we are not mad about it! So many of our couples have been requesting a dip+kiss pose the last few weeks and we are loving how these paintings have turned out!
