Hey Everyone, sorry for the things under the "My Account" page that are blinking. I got tired of having to directly point them out and people still not finding them. If you are having trouble signing in, or tipping, look for something that is blinking.
Anyway, you don't have to ask how to tip us any more. It's right there on the sign-in page (assuming your dealer updated their profile with the link.) You can just click the link next to your dealer's name for whatever table you are playing on and it will open the appropriate app and you can just type in the amount and tip. Done. Easy Peasy. If you don't see a link tell your dealer to update their profile.
Having trouble signing in?
If you are checked in to a past event and you need to check out so you can check into the new one, click "Check Out." It's blinking and in big text so you can't miss it.
Not checked into any event and still having trouble?
Same thing: click "Troubleshoot." Again, it will be blinking so you can't miss it. It will literally show you a map, tell you how far away you are, and give you all the info you need to troubleshoot.
Lastly, on a totally unrelated side note, the dealers are not choosing your cards. Every time you get snippy about not winning and blame your cards on us and you imply we didn't shuffle, it really gets under our skin. You can literally SEE us shuffling right in front of you! I am not sure if you guys realize this, but even IF we didn't shuffle at all and just cut the deck a couple times, the cards you get would still be random. Surely you can see that we didn't sit there and go through the deck to pick out your specific cards. We are not out to get you. You won't always get the card(s) you want. Surely you get that, right?!?!?
I understand you guys are here to have fun and it's great to throw caution to the wind and just see if you get lucky, but dealers are people and not punching bags, and we can only take so much abuse getting blamed for stuff that is clearly not our fault. We are trying to help everyone have a fun time, and this nonsense really does take a toll on our ability to do that, so please stop making us feel like crap because you didn't win with your high pair when there was a flush draw or straight draw on the board and you still somehow kept calling/raising when you know you should have folded.
All that said: we appreciate all of you! Please don't hesitate to offer feedback or let us know if you have any questions, suggestions, etc. There are things we need to improve on our end as well. We are always trying to get better. It's all about communication.

Ready for poker and blackjack at LGBT+ Center Orlando - The Center for Cinco de Mayo? It's gonna be a fun day with plenty of food!
The menu will include, from Sai: homemade chicken enchiladas, Zombie Guacamole, and Cowboy Caviar (vegan), and an assortment of chips. Denny is bringing tacos and nachos from taco bell, as well as chips and salsa. Whoever else contributes will get 1,000 awesome points.
Also, since it is for a good cause, the normal awesome points will be tripled, and tournament points will be increased as well (top 6 per game).
There is plenty of parking: the parking lot next to the building, street parking out front on Mills Ave, and the parking lot across the street.
Please RSVP through the site soon for extra points and chips. Stop in to The Center (945 N Mills Ave) any time between 1:00 and 4:30 or so if you would like to join us.

poker stuff: Potluck tomorrow (Thursday) at District Dive at 4:30pm. 350 AWP for bringing something and another 1,000 AWP on top of that if what you brought is voted as a favorite.
If participating please remember to RSVP through the site and then post what you are bringing. Now that the system is automated you will not be able to receive credit if you don't post in advance. We will still appreciate your generosity and eat your food though! :)

Points are in for Saturday's tournament. Congrats to the winners: Denny Kammerer first place, John Tiell second place, Henry Pittre third place, and runners up John Henkle , Quentin Lewis, Jessica H, Sonny Ensley, Shawn C, and Danny F.
Be sure to RSVP for next month's tournament at SAVOY Orlando on Saturday April 20, 1:00pm. The RSVP option is live. That tournament will be for points earned between Jan 1 and March 31. You need to have at least one win by the 31st to qualify.

13 players at The Center today. Thank you all for coming out. It was a super fun day. That said, 1 out of 13 of you submitted feedback / reported spending. Yesterday 4 out of 42 of you gave feedback/ reported spending. You guys are always asking how to get more awesome points. It's so easy! It's just like Uber or any review site. You see those greyed out 5 stars in the top right of your screen? Click how many stars you think we deserve. One click. Easy! If you click less than 5 stars the window will expand with checkboxes and you can check any common issues that may have caused you to give less than 5 stars. You can type in any thoughts you have into the comment box (optional). It's anonymous. You can even rate the dealers individually. Reporting spending? The next section down, just type it in, which gets you even more awesome points.
Most of you are missing out on getting super easy awesome points.
In any case, you are all super appreciated for your support, whether you submit feedback or not. :)

If you qualified and are playing in the tournament at Savoy today please try to arrive by 12:45 or sooner so we can at least attempt to start on time. :) Factor in going to the bathroom, saying your hellos to each other, getting a drink, and then being in your seat by 12:55.
The main tournament area will be in the Savoy side, but 2 tables will be on the Ivanhoe side, so if you are assigned to tables 3 or 4 you may want to start your tab on the Ivanhoe side.

New Time When Events can be RSVP'd
Simplified: Instead of 90 minutes before an event starts for the next week, it is now just exactly one week in advance that you can RSVP for an event. So Saturday, for example, instead of 11:30, it will now simply be 1:00 for the following Saturday.
HOWEVER: you CAN actually RSVP up to 8 days in advance if you don't mind shelling out some awesome points. The further in advance you want to "early RSVP" the more AWP it will cost you.
This option is for those who have been asking for a way to beat the crowd so they can RSVP in time to be guaranteed a spot in the first game.
Tip: Don't have a lot of awesome points? Make sure you submit feedback and tell us how much you spent after every event. You have until you sign in to the next event to do this.

March 10, Sunday 1:00pm: poker at LGBT+ Center Orlando - The Center , extra points, free parking, free food (spaghetti and meatballs), and proceeds benefit The Center. We can have up to 3 tables.
March 16, Saturday 1:00pm, SAVOY Orlando: Quarterly Tournament and Player Appreciation Day. Lots of extra points and free food catered by Savoy. $1,000 in prizes. If you won at least one game at any venue between October 1 and December 31, 2023, you can play in the actual tournament. If you didn't qualify we will still have regular tables starting around 2:15 so please plan to attend regardless. We can have up to 5 tables.

How the First Table Is Filled, and the Story Behind It
We once had a sudden and considerable growth spurt, and lots of people showed up at once to play, more than ever before, and it kept growing. It was total chaos to accommodate everyone in a fair way, so over a period of 18 months or so we tried a number of different strategies. All of a sudden one solution clicked and all was good with the world. So we have stuck with that solution to this day. It is unforgiving, but fair, because it is fully automated by a computer. I am going to explain it again in a different way.
The first table is filled by RSVP number first and then by sign-in time if there are still any spots left on it. After the official start time it goes only by when you signed in to the event.
This is to motivate players to RSVP as soon as possible in advance, but also to motivate players to not arrive too late. If you are among the first 10 to RSVP you are guaranteed a spot on table one, but you have to be signed in at least by the posted start time of the event. If you are even one second late the guarantee no longer applies. This is all automated so it is fair to everyone and exceptions can not be made. Please plan accordingly.

Just a heads up for tonight (Tuesday), we may be limited to one table until 8:30, and even after 8:30 it msy still be just the one due to lack of space. So, if poker ends up being super busy like last week you may have to wait a while to play in-between games. Venues tend to be busier this time of year and physical space is limited. Thank you in advance for your patience.
