Update! We’ve been in Pennsylvania for a little under a month now. It’s been crazy busy behind the scenes trying to navigate reschedules and cancellations but we’re getting through it and trying to stay positive. We’re lucky to have left Florida before things took a turn for the worst. It’s somewhat getting back to normal here but I can’t help but to worry about our friends, family, and clients in Florida dealing with the covid mess down south. 😭 We honestly don’t know when we will be back and I miss home! I feel awful for my couples who now are having to cancel to have their late Summer/Fall weddings to keep themselves and their loved ones safe. (I don’t blame ‘em) 2020 needs to turn around ASAP! Stay healthy Florida and see you soon❤️

Back in 2011 I said I’d NEVER shoot a wedding. I photographed almost anything you could think of while I was in school trying to become a lawyer but I wasn’t going NEAR weddings.

They TERRIFIED me. Until one day one of my friends was in desperate need of a second shooter for a wedding and asked me to help her out. I agreed...after a LOT of begging. I was SO scared I’d mess up. It’s such a HUGE responsibility because these photos will be passed down for generations.

About half way into the wedding day when my nerves FINALLY calmed I decided that weddings aren’t as scary as they seemed. I was grabbing a photo of *everything* like some kind of photo ninja. I *could* do it!

Something just clicked and I knew that I would love to spend every Saturday after doing something so fun and so freakin’ HAPPY.

I second shot over 80 weddings over 2 years before really taking on my own wedding clients. Second shooting with so many other pro photographers helped me grow in so many ways. I took what I loved about each of them and started noting how I wanted to interact my clients, how I would treat them, how to be efficient, how to pose, the list goes on! I finally found my brand and style.

I can’t think of many jobs where you get to show up to a party every Saturday with new and amazing people. Every weekend is hanging out with another fun couple. Every weekend is happy. Every weekend we meet new friends and families. It’s always something to look forward to. We are really missing it right now💞

My priority has always been portraits & candids... but I also think details are so important to have photographed! Couples spend so much time planning exactly how their table set up looks, how their cake looks, which chairs they want- sometimes they’re not always able to see this before people are sitting down at their reception. I love being able to surprise them with pretty shots of their set up to show them how beautiful their hard work came out 💞

It’s been a month of quarantine now and if anyone is wondering how we’re holding up today I was taking a nap when Joe woke me up to say “can you wake up, I’m really bored” 🤣 I made a TikTok yesterday and posted videos of my dog. We’ve cleaned our entire house inside and out about 9 times. Our dog is our only friend. I just want Thai food. More importantly I want everyone to be safe and healthy again. Things are tough, but sooo necessary! Hope you all are staying entertained and safe 💞

I’ve been very quiet lately amidst the craziness that is COVID-19. We recently went on vacation to Las Vegas where we found out just after we arrived home that a few people have tested positive for coronavirus and they attended the same hotels + casinos as us on the same days😳 It’s been nearly a week and we’re okay so far, but we won’t be going out for a while just in case. We also found out that our home airport which we visited only a few days ago on our return home has had TSA workers infected with the virus. The panic has gone 0-100 in the matter of a few days (rightfully so) We have postponed a few shoots due to this because our clients health and well-being comes first. It’s been recommended that everyone stay put, so we are trying to stay healthy and keep everyone else healthy too. We are offering free reschedules for couples where it’s mandatory to cancel their weddings in April & May. As long as we are open that day, we will be there! We have tons of options regardless, so don’t worry, we will take care of you *no matter what*. I couldn’t be more upset but more so for our couples. If you’re just seeing this you likely have an email from me with all of the options we have available to minimize the effects this virus has put on all of us. It’s no fun for small business owners OR wedding couples right now. It’s been really tough but we will get through it ❤️ This stuff is crazy y’all! Hope everyone is doing well and staying calm (and that you have enough toilet paper!) 😫❤️Please feel free to email me or call me with any questions you might have about your shoots and/or wedding! *We are not canceling ANY *weddings* on our end, but want to keep the risks to a minimum for shoots for you & our near future wedding couples❤️
