💙 This still wasn’t the final look. I was simply enjoying the journey of creation 💙
Colors carry vibration, each having a scientific influence on the body.
Perspective, also plays a very big role in the interpretation of these colors.
Said all of that because this angle offered this beautiful royal blue hue (with me reflected) in this glass apple.
Reflection is a necessary part of growth. You must know where you’ve come from, have the proper understanding and perspectives of how you got there in order to effectively plan your steps to get where you desire to be.
It’s important to keep an open mind to the fact that things aren’t always as they appear! Our moods/feelings influence all of the above. 💙
The final look after adding color to the eyes… I kept looking at these apple and thinking, “Something is off!”
When I figured out it was the eyes I immediately pulled every apple with a bear from their box and filled in the eyes.
You can tell from the original video the difference this small little detail made.
So much lies behind our eyes… they’re often referred to as the “windows to the soul”. I HAD to give these little guys life!! 🐻
I love any order that incorporates teddy bears!
Fun Fact: My son who passed away was nicknamed bear from an ultrasound. We couldn’t identify the s*x, but “Twin A” looked like a teddy bear so the woman was kind enough to type “Bear” on my ultrasound and Cincere was “Bear” before Bear was Cincere.

These are flowers I planted in honor of my son at the entrance of my old apartment.
Ironically, my neighbor lost her son the year prior.
These flowers are said to attract butterflies!
I shared with her my story as I planted them and I told her that these flowers can be here to remind us of our sons whom we’ve planted back into Gods earth.
While neither of us still live there, I often wonder if the flowers do. Either way, our sons live forever in our hearts.
While losing a child may not be the worst thing (because pain is pain), understanding life after such death and pain can’t be understood unless you’ve had the experience.
We sympathize, but Gods grace and wisdom through having lived the experience is in my opinion, the only thing that allows you to truly EMPATHIZE with a woman who has had to do the unthinkable… bury her child.
I share my story, planting my sons name in the hearts of those who listen because I’ve vowed to honor him with everything I do and ensure his name lives forever.

Graduation candy apples from 2020 😫 I’m horrible about posting. I go through spells where I will upload content and then… nothing.
Today, I feel like sharing but will keep it Mandy Lou’s (the desserts) related.
Maybe this is a sign of another deletion session, removing old content and photos.
What do you do to create freedom for yourself?
One of my ways is removing “old” data, possessions, etc. It’s almost like the introduction of releasing what is no longer applicable to who I am now and embracing the next season, making space for the new.

Loved everything about this next set!
Working with multiple colors is like a love hate relationship, especially when it’s fondant.
I truly love the final look of all of the colors “coming together” to create one unified look. I don’t like the prep work for multiple colors.
Ironically, this same client has me working with multiple colors this week.. I am excited to see it come together.

Sugar cookies with Sprinkles is how my client asked Mandy Lou’s to be a sweet part of welcoming Baby Pender.
I LOVE flowers!
Specifically, fresh flowers.
For this order I used custom made tags on half of the order and artificial flowers on the other half.
I loved how this turned out back then and two years later I still love them!
SN: I miss this apartment. Everything about it. To include this bay window where I would receive the PERFECT natural lighting.
I am on social media.
I interact with people here.
But I LIVE. I mean, I truly do my best to LIVE MY LIFE.
IF I can capture something in the present moment, I do. But more times than not… I’m IN THE PRESENT as that is PRESENT of life.
My clients don’t send me pictures 😜
And I don’t post to get clients.
My existing clients know my work.
New clients manage to find me somehow.
I need space in my phone… so I am sharing a little of what I see.

The Story:
After sitting in my departing airport for 12 hours, boarding a plane and being de-boarded and told we have to fly out tomorrow 🙃 I made it back home to bring in 2022 my way.
When I boarded the flight that next day I patiently waited for the attendants to make their rounds… I ordered myself a “Crown”. 👑
The attendant handed me 2 bottles, I didn’t trip… I said “God you must be looking out for the kid and know I would want another”
I handed her my card and apparently the drinks were on the house… because of the inconvenience of the delayed and canceled flight.
I was cool! We received vouchers for Lyft to take us from the airport to a hotel THEY paid for, a ride back and a meal while at the airport. This was all optional!
Once I secured Cerenity with her sitter… I proceeded to use ALL MY BENEFITS!
I even had a dope driver who took me to Waffle House, a bomb cook who rushed my order before the others and when I got to the hotel the other passengers was asking “how’d you get food?!”
I just smiled and told them I had a nice driver. But it was God, looking out for the kid!
I tell people, I see a EVERY DAY! I mean EVERY SINGLE DAY… unless I don’t leave my home.
December 31, 2021 was No Different… no sooner than I got home did God give me this beautiful sunset and our usual conversation and promise.

The Story:
I try to always ask Cerenity’s permission before taking her picture. Sometimes it’s a “yes”… other times she will say “No.”
This particular day she saved her bananas from lunch for me! 🥺
I was SO GRATEFUL, because I hadn’t eaten anything since breakfast and at this point it was 4:00p.
Also, I had a SEVERE allergy to MANY FRUITS that just “developed out of nowhere”. I had this allergy to bananas, melons, mangos, and various exotic fruit for about 7-8 years.
Last year I stopped chicken. I stopped eating beef and pork over 9 years ago. I eat chicken if my body needs it, so don’t convict me IF you see me. 😉
I love bananas! So, in order to eat banana pudding I would take a Benadryl, wait 30 minutes, eat it, then sleep through the meds doing “their job”.
When I stopped eating chicken and made a few other changes it was as if my allergy vanished! Because it DID!
I cured myself ☺️
So Cerenity saving bananas ALL DAY just for her mommy (she doesn’t eat them) was a HUGE deal!
I love how much she thinks of me even when we’re apart. 💜 We are absent in the body but our spirits are entwined 🤞🏾
She is more than I could ever express in words. This day, she brought me lunch!

The Story:
Cerenity and I were leaving Fresh Market picking up our usual weekly Twice Baked Potatoes for dinner when I saw this van.
I saw this and said: There is no excuse doe us to not truly “know and study” the word of God.
I personally won’t even put a bumper sticker on my car… but I truly did and still do love what this person is sacrificing to ensure the message is spread.
I saw this van in a totally different side of town, and I knew it was “my friend” although I don’t know who drives it.
That, is the FIRST sacrifice for God this person has made… to be “known” no matter what they go.
Needless to say, I may keep these pictures because I still have so much to read on this vehicle…
God requires a sacrifice. We are here to serve, not the other way around.
Yes, we can and SHOULD pray and ask for things, help, healing, etc… but let us NEVER FORGET:
EVERYTHING is an EXCHANGE

The Story:
This client emailed me. She was a long standing client who requested a “PopIt” inspired order of apples.
I went from store to store to store to store looking for a mold, only to find NOTHING.
I did what any vet in the treat game does, I made it my way using what I have in my tool box long before the ease and convenience of molds.
Once again, I almost quit this s**t FOR REAL… dipped plain apples and threw some letters on it.
“You better not, you got this!”

My mom was visiting while I worked on this order and she could NOT believe I did it!
Each circle was hand plunged, each color cut, each circle behind the “pop” engraved and I was NOT about to color coordinate the rim to each color, so I stuck with blue 🤷🏾♀️
Because this was a LONG STANDING customer I was honest with her: I don’t know how much this will cost until I’m done. I won’t charge you what I put into it, but we will work something out.
Needless to say, she came to pick up and I was finishing up the ribbon on the bags.
Y’all: I LET HER INTO MY HOME.
I’m 10 years, ain’t but a HANDFUL of y’all been INSIDE MY HOME!
I told her I would invoice her once I settled my nerves, mind and felt like it. Again, I trusted that it wouldn’t be a big deal.
Well, I invoiced her for THE APPLES ONLY! I left it up to her to tip me for the decor. I explained:
“The way God moves in my life, especially with Mandy Lou’s… He ensured I got what I needed out of it and it’s never money with me and God.” It’s always wisdom, confidence, assurance, faith, understanding, GROWTH.
I was told by this client after sending a few reminders that the invoice was unpaid that I would get paid when she got paid on Friday.
What. Tha. F**k?!?!?!?
I canceled the invoice.
Wished her a Happy New Year.
And moved on with my day.
No shade because there’s NO NAME TAGGED, but how in the f**k you place an order, and two weeks later you ain’t paid me?!?!
Biggest Lesson: Don’t let “time” fool me. Even my long standing clients will f**k me over.
Point in case! The invoice was $95
When I tell y’all I really do this from the heart because this is my God Given Gift, I mean it.

The Story:
I received a DM from a client who wanted to place an order for that weekend. (Last Minute Catering) 🤪
I told her send me pics of what she wanted (5th slide) and I would see if I had the cutters to make it happen!
I also shared with her the cost for a rush order (within 7 days) and that I had been praying for God to allow me to work with a person who makes the outdoor picnics… that no matter what, I would do my best to make it happen.. because God was answering my prayers.
When she sent the “ninja” cookies I liking to fell out laughing at how God played me! I signed up to do something before I understood the assignment (lesson learned).
Clearly, I still took the order.
I few others things were taking place that week so I ended up purchasing a dehydrator from a loc thrift store I frequent. It cost me $10 and I KNEW that God was working MY LAST MINUTE ORDER and PRODUCTION in my favor until…
I laid down on my couch at 3:00a to take a “nap” while the cookies baked. I woke up to my timer going off and Cerenity telling me to “Get Up”.
I burned the damn cookies 😩
Frantic I walked into my workroom and almost broke down. Almost through my entire brand away because I said I can’t keep working like this… last minute, late nights, stress, etc.
“Fix your face and you better not cry nor give up!” - God
I grabbed my cookie kit and went to work bagging the icing.
Did I mention: these were the last of her cookies and I had no more cookie dough?! 🥺 I said “F**k it, I’ll just refund her whatever I’m short of the 2 dozen”.
Well, as ONLY God can do… I opened my refrigerator and there’s 1 package of dough I rolled and forgot about! 🙌🏾 I cut more cookies and baked them while I began piping the cooled ones.
As my luck would have it, I broke a few cookies… I kept going! I’ll just refund her the 3 I’m missing.
My client was running behind and I agreed to deliver them, gave the cost and suggested she explore other options as it was a Lake Nona delivery. She sent her driver to me and I sent her the picture of the burnt cookies with a text that said “Don’t freak out, call me”.
