Everyone is invited to the Osceola Dragway reunion banquet on February 17th at 7 pm. The banquet will be hosted at the Edwardsburg American Legion, 25751 US-12, Edwardsburg MI 49112.

Who's invited? Everyone!! (Kids are welcome as well)
If you feel compelled, please bring an appetizer, finger food or desert to pass. There will be a cash bar to! We would like to send our condolences out to The family of Tina Collins McFarland. Tina was a long time race mom and race wife at our track, she supported us through the sale of 50/50 tickets and was always a friendly face! God bless you Tina, rest easy.

Just a reminder this weekend Bunker Hill Dragstrip is the memorial race for Dan The Man Palsce. Gates open Saturday at 11, on track at one. Pit party in the evening with live music by A Sick World🤟🏼. Pit party is sponsored by TKO Racing & Bussard Automotive and Performance Specialties.
If you didn’t know Dan here is a small history: He was born with an extra chromosome (Down’s syndrome). He loved cool cars & bikes, he loved them more if they were fast and loud. He also had a love for all women, and would shamelessly steal your girl 💜. He loved food as well….a lot! Dan is best known for working the burnout box at Osceola Dragway. He passed unexpectly in January of this year. We would love to see all of you there!

JOIN US IN SHOUTING A HAPPIEST OF BIRTHDAYS TO RUTH!!! 90 years she has blessed the world with her wonderful spirit and kind smile!
90 years ago today things looked very different! Gas was about 12 cents a gallon, you could get a loaf of bread for some 9 cents, a gallon of milk would run you 32 cents, a new house could be yours for just over $3,000 and a new car was $500!! How the world has changed in just 90 short years!! We love you Ruth and we hope your day has been as spectacular as you are!!

It has been confirmed that Funeral processions for Dan “The Man” Palsce will be this coming Saturday (January 22nd, 2022) located at Palmers Funeral Home - Bubb Chapel (3910 N. Main St, Mishawaka, IN 46565) Viewing will be from 10am to Noon with Burial at Fairview Cemetery shortly after.

It is with heartfelt sadness and regret that we must inform all of our racers, spectators, employees and fans that Osceola Dragway will not be opening for the 2021 season. After 63 years, our gates will be permanently closed.

The decision to close Osceola Dragway was not an easy one. As most of you know, the track has been for sale for over 4 years. There have been prospective buyers during that time that would have continued the Dragstrip tradition, but due to COVID-19 changing our lives as we know it and EPA issues related to the railroad superfund site, this has created challenges for any prospective buyer.

The time has come for our family to retire and move on to our next adventure in life. We would like to thank all of our loyal racers and fans that we have gotten to know over the years. We value the friendships and memories we have kindled over this time.

George Lane
1937-2021



It is with incredible sadness we inform you of the passing of George Lane on January 26, 2021. While George was the founder of Lane Automotive, he was so much more to the many who have worked here over the past 57 years. He was a tremendously generous man who mentored, inspired, and forged lifelong friendships with those blessed to know him. For many employees, including those whose first jobs were here at Lane Automotive, George was more like a father or a grandfather.



When he founded Lane Automotive in 1964, he never expected it to grow into being one of the leading distributors of automotive performance parts in the world. He had an unparalleled passion for cars, racing, and really anything with a motor! To feed this passion, George would make frequent trips to the Detroit area to purchase performance parts for he and friends, and this led to his first startup, a part-time Speed Shop operated out of his garage. This not only helped to support his wife, Janet, but his growing family of sons, Doug and David. This venture soon began to flourish, and George started selling these parts to local racers and hot rod enthusiasts. As his business grew, Lane Automotive was soon formed and became his heart and soul - something that anyone who ever worked for him, or had the true honor of meeting him, realized instantly. As a pioneer in the Automotive Aftermarket, George played a critical role in shaping the industry into what it is, today. His hard work, dedication and values built the foundation of our company, and his legacy and passion will be felt for generations to come.



George was always an active part of day-to-day life here at Lane Automotive, a regular presence at local racetracks and automotive related events, and a fixture in our local community. Although retired, George still had an office and frequently walked the building to form and nurture relationships with employees. His love for the company he built was unmatched, and his unwavering respect and consideration for our employees and customers is at the center of our values and culture.



For those of us who have had the honor to know George, he will be sorely missed. For those who never had the opportunity to meet him, words will never truly convey the presence and spirit of George Lane. Please keep the Lane family in your thoughts and prayers.
