After 40 years of being one of Michiana’s most trusted DJ services, I’ve officially retired the business. Thank you to all of my past clients, their guests and friends. Best wishes to all future couples getting married. The website is still active and is available to any DJ who wants an opportunity for brand recognition, online planning tools and SEO placement. Equipment will be selling this spring.

UPDATE from Governor - Reopening in 5 stage process. We can move forward to next stages as long as Hospitalizations and surges stay stable. Here is a very brief recap-

Stage 1- (what we are in now)

Stage 2- Opens Monday, lasts 3 weeks. Social Gatherings allowed up to 25 ppl with social distancing and masks (and other precautions, industry specific) Retail at 50%, restaurants at 50% - starting 5/11, no bars.

Stage 3- Opens May 24th- Social gatherings up to 100. Malls and retail at 75%,

Stage 4- On June 14th- Face coverings become optional. Social gatherings to 250 ppl. Large venues may open. Retail, at full capacity with social distancing. Dining at 75%, Bars at 50%. Zoos, bowling alleys, museums at 50%.

Stage 5- July 4th - as close to normal as we will know. Fairs, Festivals, retail, bars, nighclubs all open.

This is a brief recap based on my notes. I will post more detailed info as I get it. I am sure something will go on the IN.gov website soon. I didn't hear anything about hotels, so I will update if I get more info.

Mayor James Mueller, along with the County Commissioners, has declared a local disaster emergency and issued a travel advisory urging residents to stop non-essential travel to mitigate the spread of COVID-19 in our community.

The travel advisory, which goes into effect at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 19, has been issued at the Watch level, meaning essential travel only.

Certain types of travel are considered essential, like going to work and the grocery store, picking up food from restaurants, visiting the doctor’s office, dropping off kids at a daycare, picking up prescription and traveling for emergencies.

Coronavirus facts:
• 20 times deadlier than the flu
• Spreads faster than flu
• Affects Pets at a lower level
• Lives on all surfaces for 3 days
• Passed through cash etc
• Keep 6-10 foot distance from people
• If using gloves make sure they are disposable
• Replace face mask daily. It is said that Face masks will not help you. They are used for those who are sick to prevent it from spreading.
• Children and healthy adults are less affected
• Elderly people and those w/ low immune system are at high risk.
• Are we all going to die? Absolutely not!

Prevention:
• Wash your hands
• Don't touch your face or eyes
• Hand sanitizer must be 65% alcohol or more
• Be careful with packages, mailbox etc
• Virus also stays on clothes
• Take daily vitamins
• Stay away from elderly people
• Be weary of large crowds

Note: If you have contracted the coronavirus or have symptoms do not go into the emergency room because you can spread it to the nurses and doctors as well as people with a low immune system. Call your primary physician and book an appointment.

Stock up:
• Stock up on food 1 month worth
• Stock up on medication (90 days)
