ITINERARY: PERFECT DAY AROUND OURAY
7:30am: Grab a fresh pastry and latte at The Artisan Bakery and Cafe.

8:00am: Walk up 5th Ave to jump on the perimeter trail at the Upper Cascade Falls trailhead. Take a break at the park bench and enjoy the views of town. Hike to Cascade Falls and relax under the mist of the waterfall.

10:00am: Spend a few hours at the Ouray County Historical Society and Museum learning about the region and exploring the fascinating exhibits. The kids will enjoy the jail and minerals in the basement. Pick up a Walking Tour pamphlet (more on this later).

12:00pm: Grab a bite at Maggie's Kitchen - voted best burger in town. Take in the views on the patio.

1:00pm: Explore the variety of specialty shops, such as Rockin P Ranch, LIttle Bucket of Flowers, Khristopher's Culinaire, and Ouray Mountain Sports, among others.

3:00pm: Pull out the Walking Tour phamplet and take a self-guided tour of some of the historical homes and buildings around town. Ouray is a historical district and offers fascinating history.

6:00pm: Step back in time at The Outlaw for dinner - where live music and delicious steaks bring out the ambiance of an authentic 1800s saloon. Stop by Mouses Chocolates & Coffee for a scoop of ice cream or a mouthwatering scrap cookie.

8:00pm: Finish off the day with a soak in the sulfur-free natural hot springs. The views of Mt. Abrams are unbeatable and the waterfalls from the overlook pool will certainly transcend as you plan your return visit to the Switzerland of America.
