I'm a stay-at-home mom who loves Dr. Pepper, running, and watching true crime. After 20 years I'm finally put my floral design and horticulture degree to use! It all started from home making corsages and boutonnières for my children’s friends. In 2019, after much coaxing from my daughter, I decided to officially open up business and Rosehill Blooms was born. Little by little I started gaining more

attention. Corsage and boutonnière orders skyrocketed to 100+ orders every weekend. Arrangements and bouquets galore were handcrafted! Fall and Christmas outdoor pots quickly became popular. And wedding and event bookings increased! I even began teaching DIY outdoor Christmas pot classes! I am so excited about all the ways my small business has blossomed over the years! One of my favorite flowers for event designing has to be the ranunculus! Not only do they come in a stunning array of colors, but they are hardy and last well out of water, making them perfect for corsages, boutonnières, and handhelds. Over spring break I had the opportunity to visit my old stomping grounds, BYU-Idaho, and speak to floral design majors about possibilities they have with their degree, answered questions and told them about my business journey. It was surreal to be in the same classroom where I sat over 20 years ago talking about my own floral business! It was a full circle moment!
I also had so much fun visiting family in Utah and Idaho! What a great spring break…I love family❤️

I love using hydrangea at the base of floral designs. It allows for great placement options and keeps the flowers right where you want them. It works magically for those that want the no greenery look but still want to give a fuller feel. Do you like the no greenery look👍🏻👎🏻

Flower Hair Pieces 👏🏻✨
This idea is the cutest, dainty addition for young girls that will leave everyone commenting on how adorable they look!
Hair pieces are the perfect alternative, for little girls whose wrists are too small for a corsage and who can’t/dont want to hold onto a bouquet. They can vary in style and size, but I find that flower halos or clip/combs stay in place best.

Reminiscing about this beautiful BOHO Oct 2023 wedding! Megan was such a sweet, beautiful bride to work with. Loved doing the florals for this wedding!
You should still see some BOHO in 2024 as hues of pinks and burgundy’s will still be seen but we’ll mostly see a shift towards cleaner lines with a sophisticated floral look.

These are the same roses, but there’s an obvious difference! One rose has been “reflexed” or fluffed and the other one hasn’t. Reflexing is a popular technique where petals are flipped outward to creat voluminous blooms! Here are 3 reasons why reflexing your roses is important: 1. CREATES CONTRAST: Each reflexed rose looks unique. Plus the size is vastly larger than a normal rose. Combine closed flowers with the reflexed ones and suddenly it looks like you have 5 different varieties of flowers!! 2. CURB APPEAL: Reflexing roses are much more appealing to the eye and makes your flowers look unique. Trust me when I say people will be drooling over their beauty!! Plus they’re a great dupe for peonies! 3. SAVE $$: Reflexing flowers takes up more space in your bouquet/arrangement, which ultimately saves you and the client money!! FLORAL TRIVIA ⭐️ How many flowers does it actually take to do a wedding? Before I give it away, put your guess in the comments! 💬 The answer is it depends! On average most weddings use anywhere between 800 - 5000+ stems of flowers!! I know that's a lot! A bridal bouquet alone is usually 24-36 stems! Brides, keep that in mind when shopping around for florist. A florist’s price isn’t set by how big or small your wedding is. It’s set by the number of stems needed to create your desired look and how expensive each stem is. If you want to get a quote for your wedding, please reach out!
