Mariah & Dex 7.13.24

Middle school sweethearts, so this has been a long time coming. What a blessing to find your person at such a young age and truly be able to grow up together. Dex’s mom even read a love note she found from when they were 13.

They have so much love for each other and their love grew even deeper this year when they welcome their beautiful son into this world. He’s such a cutie and was in such a happy mood all day long.

They had one of the most beautiful head tables I’ve ever seen (swipe to the end to see it), colorful garden flowers to embrace the summer feel. The venue was gorgeous and the views so perfect!

The beauty of this day and these people, unmatched!

The vibe, elegant dinner party! I think we nailed it!

24 bud vases with a single rose on every 8ft table, along with full place settings with wine glasses and candles, these were the fullest tables I’ve ever had. And it was a full room flip after the ceremony. But dang what a statement and it all came together to create the most luxurious atmosphere for their dinner party reception.

Tulips 🌷

A very special part of this bride’s day. She grew up in Pella, Iowa where tulips were a major part of their tiny town. Every year they have a giant tulip festival celebrating spring and their towns Dutch heritage. Everyone played a part to make it happen each year and people from all over Iowa would come into town for the festivities. Tulips weren’t just her favorite flower but they represented her childhood, where she came from, her family. Of course we knew we had to incorporate them into her special day.

Just two high school sweethearts turned husband & wife. We love a good success story. These two’s love for one another is so tender and sweet. They’ve loved each other through much and you could sense how deep their love goes.

Favorite parts of the day:
✨Getting dad for the first look and him being so nervously excited to his his little girl
✨ The grooms reaction to seeing his bride, straight AWE!! Then the tears. 🥹

Breckyn & Brian

The sweetest couple who were so ready to say their I Dos! Their day was absolutely glamorous in every way! I mean look at that dress.

A formal Catholic ceremony in Overland Park and then the most elegant of receptions at the Hilton President. They partied the night away with all of their closest friends and family.

These two shared their special day with their closest friends and family at a quaint yet glamorous dinner party in downtown Overland Park.

Tables filled with 250 bud vases and elaborate place settings set the tone for their 5 course dinner which guests enjoyed along with wine service and surprise espresso martinis.

Everything about their day was intimate, elegant and pure perfection!

Y’all made quite an entrance! It ain’t Texas but they threw it down!

No one ever said your reception entrance needs to be boring! Your entrances are a great time to have some fun and show a bit of your personality. Pick a song that’s up beat that feels very you. Get some props or just do something that brings the energy. This is a great way to set a tone for how the rest of the party is going to go.

I always schedule 30 minutes on the timeline for "getting in the dress". Brides mention often that they don't need that long to "just put on the dress". Bailey & Cooper 4.21.24

These two said I do at a Sunday afternoon wedding out on the lawn of a historic Kansas City mansion. They had a brunch with Bridgerton elegance and charm. Tables were adorned with delicate china, silverware, and fresh flowers. A string quartet to set the tone for the ceremony and a live band to bring energy to the reception. So many little details came together to create the look Bailey was dreaming of and it turned out so perfect.

Last Friday it was Heidi & Andrew’s turn! Heidi and I lived together the last three years and I was blessed to witness first hand her love story unfold. A reconnection through a dating app from a guy in college, while she was visiting her sister in Ohio. Seems random but God had His hand in it all!! Heidi had waited patiently over the years for her man and he was finally here.
Their day was filled with friends and family coming from all over to celebrate their new life together. I loved planning with them and loved getting to see the day they dreamed of come together.

I had been friends with Emily for a few months when she and Logan got engaged. I randomly got a call from her one afternoon, she was stressed and freaking out a bit “I need you as my wedding planner” she told me. So we started planning together and it was so fun! Emily was so on top of things and organized. Her engineer brain came in handy!
Their wedding day was so special! So many friends and family came out to celebrate them (too many actually and we had to up their catering budget)! No one wanted to miss it and I can see why. The day was full of so much love, laughter, tears and dancing! We even got a performance from the bride and her cousins to “Goodbye Earl”. Emily and Logan are the perfect pair and I know God brought them together and will use their marriage to bless many!

Everyone hopes for perfect weather on their wedding day but unfortunately here in the Midwest we never quite know what kind of weather will come our way. No matter what time of year!

Outdoor weddings are beautiful, we are all for them every time, but we also must have a plan B if the weather just doesn’t cooperate with our plan. We can make a lot of things happen but weather isn’t one of them.

We will work with you and your venue to make a plan if an outdoor ceremony just isn’t possible on your day. We will do our best to make sure it’s something you still love and will be happy with.

Plus I hear it’s good luck if it rains on your wedding day and you could get some super cute photos like this sweet couple!!

Your bouquet is the most important piece of floral on your wedding day. It’s what sets the tone for all of your other floral designs. It’s with you the entire day, for all of your photos, down the aisle and into your reception.

When picking out florals and colors for your bouquet pick a variety of florals in different shades that complement each other well. This will give you a more interesting and textured look. Most importantly pick a florist that understands your vision, they have design eye that brings it to life.

Simple ways to elevate your wedding decor!

✨Add some color in through a colored napkin. It beings an extra layer to the design rather than just having white on white.

✨Add candles, candles especially tapers (the tall skinny ones) bring light and depth to any table design

✨Add something above, whether it’s greenery hanging from the chandeliers or a whole hanging floral piece, adding anything that brings the eye upward creates an elevated experience.

You’ll get to not only work with me throughout your whole planning experience but I’ll do a majority of the work for you. I’m present at every venue tour, I do all the research and communication with potential vendors, I’ll be there helping you make every decision every step of the way.

This is a great option for couples with busy schedules or couples who have no idea how to plan a wedding. It’s even for those who may know what they want but still want someone in their corner through every step.

Such a special day!! It started to rain before the ceremony but thankfully we were at and we were able to move into the chapel and keep everyone dry. Plus they got some adorable umbrella photos. Engagement season is in FULL swing!! 💍
