LE DANCE COMPANY Audition Guidelines:

Dancers need to wear black dance wear to auditions. Hair is to be secured back. Appropriate dance shoes
Arrive 15-20 minutes prior to audition time. Sign in, and get a number. Please secure number to FRONT of body, and proceed to a studio 2 to warm up.
Audition fee is 25.00

Our next alumni feature is from the class of 2019, Megan N! ⭐️ Megan is amazing on stage, we are so happy that she is continuing her dance journey! Read more about Megan below ⬇️

Megan Nasche is a recent graduate of Point Park University’s College of Performing Arts. During her time in school, she had the opportunity to perform in works set by the Verdon Fosse Legacy and the Martha Graham Trust. She graduated with honors and received her BFA in Dance and a minor in Business Management. Since graduation, Megan has been auditioning for cruise ships, musicals, Las Vegas residencies, and other live events. In 2023 Megan completed 2 contracts with WOW Entertainment at Six Flags Over Texas for their Halloween and Christmas seasons. Megan also does freelance performance gigs with That’s Entertainment KC. In addition, Megan stops by Le Dance to sub classes in her free time.

Megan loves reminiscing about her time at Le Dance Studio, and is proud to be one of the “founding students” from 2004. She is especially fond of company traditions such as the “circle squeeze” and senior speeches before production, drawing names for “secret sisters,” the original “L. LE.” chant, and doing the cha cha slide/cupid shuffle before awards. Growing up at Le Dance, Megan was constantly surrounded by strong women and a loving community. Her training was consistent and diverse- covering all genres of dance. Megan had the opportunity to participate in competitions and conventions which taught her teamwork, precision, and perseverance. As Megan got older, she began assisting Mrs. Liz which sparked her interest in teaching and choreography. Megan became a role model for younger students while developing leadership and communication skills. This foundation turned Megan’s passion for dance into a career aspiration.

Our next featured alumni is from the class of 2020, Sydney W! ⭐️ Sydney is an absolute powerhouse on stage and we are so proud of her for continuing her dance journey at ISU! You can watch Syd compete at her last NDA nationals next week. Hear from Sydney below ⬇️

“There are no words to describe the love and appreciation I have for LE Dance. Not only did this studio train me in so many styles of dance, but my dance family taught me so many other life lessons. Throughout my journey at LE Dance, I learned how to persevere, work with my teammates, gain discipline, but more importantly how to be a good human. This studio also fostered my love and passion for the sport I have dedicated so much of my time to. LE Dance was my safe haven and a place where I made some of my closest friends. The faculty is the absolute best and I was able to create a bond and relationship with every teacher who taught me. More so, Miss Liz is one of the best role models I could’ve ever and she continues to support me and my family to this day.

With the training and love I gained from my studio, I was able to continue my love and passion for dance as I auditioned for the Iowa State Dance Team and become a member of the team in May 2002. During my time as a Cyclone, I have performed at various football and basketball games as well as appearances in and outside of the Ames community. I am also proud to say that I am a x2 national and x1 world pom champion. My team and I will be returning to Daytona, Florida this April where I will compete one last time in my dance career and hope to win more titles for ISUDT.

Furthermore, my training and support from my studio allowed me to continue my dance passions through high school dance team and working as an NDA instructor for 4 years. On top of all the dancing, I have been studying Kinesiology and Psychology at ISU and am currently in the process of applying to Physician Assistant programs. While I feel sad and scared to retire as a dancer, I can’t help but look back at all my experiences through LE Dance and ISUDT. There never seem to be the right words to describe the impact dance has had on my life, but I feel so much appreciation for the people who helped me get here today, especially my parents, sister, teachers, and coaches. Thank you all for supporting me while pursued my greatest passion.”

Since my senior year at LE Dance, I’ve started School at the University of Missouri, walked in New York and Milan Fashion Week, traveled to new places, and carved new paths for my future! At Mizzou I am studying business and psychology as a member of the Mizzou Honors College and of Gamma Phi Beta. I am currently an online student while I travel between Milan, Italy, St. Louis, New York, and Kansas City for Modeling. My dance background has been an asset in my career as it taught me how to take care of my body, have stage presence, be comfortable in front of a camera, and work with a diverse set of creatives!
(honorable mentions: skills in glitter lips, rhinestoning, and a dose of sass for the runway💋)

I started dancing at LE Dance when I was 2 years old. Liz has been my second mom ever since and still cheers me on as I grow on my journey! Dance taught me the importance of hard work, passion, leadership, time management, and so much more. However, the most important thing LE dance brought to my life was life long friends and family. The friends LE Dance gave me are still my family today, and I love knowing I’ll always have a home away from home at the studio❤️🖤 I am so thankful for my experience at LE Dance and my time learning from all the amazing teachers. LE Dance and my dance family truly shaped me into the person I am today!
