Happy Friday. I wanted to post some lovely ideas for flowers, and wish you a wonderful weekend.

On a sour note, our phone provider has an emergency that has taken down most of our phone lines, leaving us with one. Currently the eta on the fix has been every single day for the past three, so we are sending out a message because you literally get a message if the one line is not available that our phones have been disconnected (not really acceptable). A Salute to so many People WE Rely On!

What can you say about all of these people who have helped us and continue to be there every single day. There are so many people to thank, and we appreciate the people that are taking immediate care of us from Health Care Workers to Teachers to all of the many retail associates and restaurant staff . But imagine all of those people and the people behind them that delivered products from milk to vaccines to a meal, there are so many people to thank; so many people making a difference every single day in our lives or our families lives. Everyone needs to be gently addressed, things aren't easy right now, and enthusiastically thanked. And we all should do our part whenever the opportunity arises.

We offer a thank you with lovely flowers. We have found a smile factor and we are still offering curb side pick-up or safe delivery. Our favorite story over the last month has been the couple working from home, they both called to send flowers to each other for getting on each others nerves. And neither knew the other had called. What a delightful moment it was to deliver to those flowers!

I am doing a little reminiscing because if I were rewriting Oscar Wilde's quote, I would add family. He did not have the family, we have, so he didn't experience the work and the sacrifice that was made from 1941 to this date building and changing a business. So many stories and so many experiences...

Fourth of July was so important to the Dalton Family, the day was one of celebration. William J Dalton (Dee) to his friends and family loved America, loved the idea that a business could be built and that there was truly an American Dream. Dee embraced everyone he met and their differences, it was so great to grow up that way and never know a stranger.

The Dalton Kids sold fireworks, it was their special funds money, and did things like pay for Kathleen's (oldest sibling) wedding. Fireworks were an important part of the Dalton Celebration, just ask our neighbors.

So our wish for all of you is to have a safe, fun Fourth and to remember all small businesses. Since we have seen a break from Covid restrictions, we all need to help them get back on their feet.
