🎉 Celebrating the sweetest milestone – Hallie’s 1st birthday! 🌸🎈 An enchanting party was held in our garden courtyard complete with a balloon-adorned arbor and a floral-packed number “1” backdrop. Every moment was picture-perfect and filled with joy.

My guest Robyn requested dishes from our reserve collection for the bridal shower she hosted for her daughter. She chose the gorgeous Franciscan patterned dishes, which were lovely for her garden party.
The outdoor tables were arranged into a single long table for the guests to all sit together. Robyn brought floral arrangements and table linens, creating a beautifully finished tablescape.
They laid out an amazing spread of delicious food and plenty of sweets that I’m sure everyone enjoyed!
When Robyn offered to share a few photos, I was so excited to see her vision come to life for her daughter’s bridal shower.
I asked her if her daughter was pleased with the outcome. She replied, and I quote, “She was over the moon! The space was such a blessing. It really fit the mold for style, comfort and was aesthetically pleasing!!! Thank you again!”

We hosted another weekday afternoon tea party last week. We transform Vh into a tea room easily by removing a few furniture pieces, and set up additional dining tables. The layout flows seamlessly, cozily arranging tables in various nooks of our venue’s main entertaining area. Our guests were able to relax, enjoy good food, have cozy conversations and listen to soft tea room music in the beautiful atmosphere of Vintage House.

I noticed that nearly three years have passed since my last introduction, and with the influx of new followers, I felt it was the perfect moment to reintroduce my mom and me.
Hello there! I’m Lauri, and beside me is my mom, Marilyn. Together, we founded Vintage House in 2012 and have delighted in managing the business ever since. My mom called this house her home for 18 years before we transformed it into the venue it is today. Since leaving the house, she has been living with me and is now a vibrant 93 years young! She still lends a hand in the business, tackling tasks from ironing cloth napkins for special occasions to folding kitchen towels and even repotting the occasional geranium!
I’m a mom of 3 happily married children and “Lolli” to 8 beautiful grandchildren with ages ranging from 14 down to 4 1/2. I’m also a dog mom to a lovable Great Dane.
I shared nearly 36 wonderful years of marriage with my husband, Brian, until his passing in 2015. He was a tremendous supporter of launching this business and graciously handled the challenging dealings with the city, as well as overseeing the early construction improvements to the property.
I’m passionate about traveling, both close to home and to distant places. I always prefer taking the scenic route, venturing off the beaten path to seize every chance to smell more roses!
I have a passion for antiquing and have been a collector of vintage dishes, vintage shabby chic and farmhouse-style items for as long as I can remember.
Vintage homes hold a special place in my heart, and I’m fortunate to live in a gorgeous farmhouse from the late 1800s, located just a mile away from Vintage House.
Sharing this sweet place with others, allowing them to gather with friends and family to cherish life’s special moments, fills me with great joy. This place has brought happiness to me and my family for many years, and witnessing the continuation of joyful celebrations, as my guests hosts their own in this house, is truly a blessing.

Celebrating love in the most enchanting setting…our beautiful garden courtyard! This intimate garden wedding was a dream come true. Surrounded by nature’s beauty, every detail was perfect, from the simple floral arrangements to the stunning tablescapes that made everything absolutely perfect. The tables were adorned with sweet garden blooms from @traderjoes in all colors, tea lights in vintage tea cups with saucers, and lovely random vintage cloth napkins that the family brought to add to finish each setting. Each moment was filled with joy, laughter, and pure love. Here’s to the beautiful couple and the start of their forever journey. Cheers to love, beauty, and unforgettable memories!

I received an email from Avery, who owns @shopaveandliv with her mom, asking if they could use Vintage House for a photoshoot of their new spring clothing line. I happily agreed! Vintage House was absolutely the perfect setting to showcase these darling dresses! Be sure to visit their online boutique—I’m sure you’ll find something you absolutely adore!
I organized a brunch-themed buffet featuring a selection of exquisite dishes from one of my top recommended caterers, @easyaspiekc . Ann crafts extraordinarily tasty fruit pop tarts, her lemon cranberry scones are unparalleled, and her Mediterranean quiche is exceptional. These delights are guaranteed to impress your guests at any event. To create a visually stunning centerpiece, I adorned the buffet area with fresh flowers from @traderjoes , suspended upside down and arranged into a garland with twine. Additionally, we enhanced the mimosas by using specially made round ice cubes from a mix of orange and cranberry juice. Not only did they look charming in the champagne glasses, but they also kept the champagne chilled without watering it down. These unique ice cube trays were a great find on @Amazon … To complete our exquisite spread, we included several homemade items, adding the perfect finishing touches to a collection of foods that are sure to impress anyone.

What I treasure about Vintage House’s location in this community is its ability to evoke a sense of nostalgia, complete with a front porch that invites you to sit back and watch the world go by. It’s a popular spot for locals strolling by with their families and dogs, contributing to the area’s warm and welcoming vibe. Updating the front porch of Vintage House for a new season is always a delight for me as the owner! I love designing an inviting and attractive entryway for our guests to enjoy as they enter the house to prepare for their celebrations, and those local passersby’s as they smile and wave. Angela from @asliceofbritish meticulously crafted a range of exquisite savory and sweet delicacies. She devotedly detailed each of the treats being served. We greeted our morning guest today as the sun gracefully streamed through the windows of Vintage House! Did you know that this trio of connected rooms forms an “L” shaped entertaining space, with 27 seats and the potential to include an additional 3, accommodating a total of 30 guests? We effortlessly crafted this visually appealing dessert table as follows: Offer your guests a diverse array of sweet treats to please every palate: A quick stop at @traderjoes who always has yummy treats, fresh fruit and flowers to choose from. @katesmithsoiree who is conveniently located just a couple of blocks from Vintage House, has the most scrumptious macarons and pastries to choose from. They are open on Saturdays and Sundays for an easy pick up before your event. Homemade cupcakes adorned with a dash of sprinkles are always a great add in. Add personal touches using a few fresh flowers, a couple of live blooms from Trader Joe’s, a charming pink gauze table runner sourced from @Amazon, and a simple ball garland. Seamless and beautiful…your dessert table is ready to impress!
My cherished friend, a kindergarten teacher with a boundless, golden heart, consistently prioritizes others. Her nurturing nature shines brightly in her profession. She once taught a young boy who, sadly, recently passed away. Familiar with the family through teaching his sister last year, she deeply understands their sorrow. In a heartfelt gesture, she organized a quaint tea party at the Vintage House, inviting the sister and a few of her friends. This thoughtful act aimed to offer some comfort and a moment of happiness amidst their grief. I was delighted to contribute by preparing the Vintage House, arranging an inviting table for my friend and the young girls to create a moment of joy together.

What a delightful time at the “Daisy themed” baby shower at Vintage House! 🌼 Sweet little daisy bouquets displayed throughout the house and the huge spread of delectable food on the back porch made it extra special. Frozen fruit salad cups were a favorite…so refreshingly cool on a hot summer day! The pink iced cake with yellow centered daisies looked amazing, and the themed cookies were so adorable! 🎂🍪 Fun shower games added to the joyous celebration! It was so much fun celebrating you Allison, and your sweet baby girl who will soon be here! 💕
