A delightful bridal luncheon unfolded in our enchanting garden courtyard, where Angela from A Slice of British treated guests to a truly authentic afternoon tea experience.
The setting was nothing short of exquisite, with an elegant tablescape thoughtfully curated featuring our cherished blue and white Haviland China from our reserve collection, lending an air of timeless sophistication.
The centerpieces with lush blue and white hydrangeas from Trader Joe’s, were artfully arranged and nestled atop a delicate soft blue gauze table runner, adding a touch of romance to the scene. As a heartfelt gesture, the bride presented her bridesmaids with thoughtfully chosen gifts, expressing her deep gratitude for their love and support on this most memorable day.
Please reach out if you’re interested in hosting your own bridal luncheon tea party. Angela and I would love to serve you! ~ Lauri, Owner of Vintage House
What a breathtakingly elegant tablescape my guests crafted for their bridal shower hosted in our garden courtyard! Our vintage white ironstone dishes, which come as part of our basic rental package, looked absolutely stunning as they sat atop the gold chargers my guests thoughtfully brought along. The addition of their own gold candlesticks and gold silverware added a touch of timeless sophistication, elevating the entire table setting to a level of sheer beauty and grace. It was a perfect blend of vintage charm and modern elegance!
They set up a variety of drink stations to treat their guests – such a fun and creative idea!
Becky and Cathy, thank you so much for sharing your photos! It’s such a joy to see your vision come to life for this special day!
When friends come together, it’s bound to be an unforgettable experience! These lovely ladies hosted their book club gathering at Vintage House, setting the perfect scene for a delightful weeknight evening.
They chose our full tea service, featuring a specially curated afternoon tea menu crafted by Angela from A Slice of British, and a beautiful tablescape utilizing dishes from our reserve collection! The guest brought in their own cheese board and wine. The event was filled with laughter, great conversation, and of course, delicious treats!

Vintage House was built in 1906 and holds a significant place in the history of downtown Overland Park. This storied home is a testament to the vision of William Strang, the founder of Overland Park and a prominent railroad magnate.
Strang’s ambitious plans aimed to extend the railroad from downtown Kansas City to the remote areas beyond, bringing development to what was then considered the countryside. To support this endeavor, Strang encouraged railroad workers to relocate with their families by offering lots to build their homes at very affordable prices, enticing them to settle in this burgeoning community. This house and the next two houses that stand side by side on this block were constructed during this pivotal period, marking the early development of Overland Park.
Over its 118-year history, this delightful little house has seen countless transformations, each adding to its rich character and story.
This house has been in my family for over 30 years now, it holds a special place in my heart. My mother lived here for 18 years, and we’ve been hosting gatherings here for going on 13 years!
It is truly an honor and a privilege to be able to share Vintage House with others as they host their family milestones and celebrations here adding to the rich history of this sweet little place.
