A letter to my team…

Happy Wishaversary!

I can’t believe As You Wish is another year older. I am feeling beyond grateful and thankful to have made it not only through the past year but to have strived through the past year and I have my team, amazing clients and support system to thank for all of it.

Robin, my mama, business partner and biggest supporter. You have been with me since day one (literally) and have never once doubted me. You have been my biggest supporter even when my ideas sounded crazy! You’ve been with me through the good, the bad, and the pouring down rain! 🤣 I couldn’t imagine doing any of this without you and am so grateful and thankful for you each and every day! 🙏

Still one of my favorite weddings!

And guess what... IT WAS A BACKYARD WEDDING! It was intimate, beautiful, and quaint.

With twinkle lights in the trees and a garden fairytale feel. The Groom wore still to this day, my favorite suit I’ve ever seen (Emerald Green Velvet!)

They entertained with a food truck, dessert table and wooden barrel bar! 🧚‍♀️

Don’t know what kind of cake design you want?!

My suggestion is to send a photo of your dress, a piece of material from your dress or inspiration from your dress and incorporate that into your cake design!

You’ll end up with a unique, one of a kind cake like this one!

Unique venues are something I specialize in as a destination wedding planner. Anywhere and anything can be turned into a ceremony site!

When do I send out my wedding invitations? 🤷🏻‍♀️

I suggest to all of my couples to send their wedding invitations out eight weeks in advance. This gives people plenty of time to mark their calendars, make travel arrangements, hire childcare, and send back their RSVPs.

Speaking of RSVPs you want them back 4 weeks prior to your wedding. This gives you enough time to follow up with people who did not RSVP and turn in your accurate headcount to all of your vendors.

Keep in mind, mail times right now are a little delayed so if you are sending out invitations soon, be proactive and send them out a week or two in advance!

Rules to follow at your Destination Wedding...

THERE ARE NO RULES!!!!

If you want to wear long sleeves on the beach... do it! If you want a boho themed wedding.... do it!

The only rule to follow is make it your own!

You DO NOT have to have a beach themed wedding just because you’re getting married on the beach!

This is a HUGE mistake I see my Brides make! So many times, these “themes” are what is included in your Wedding Package at All-Inclusive Resorts and Bride’s end up unhappy because they settled for “convenience”.

Don’t make this mistake, hire a Destination Wedding Planner/Designer. They will not only design a unique and beautiful tablescape and design plan but it will be something you actually want and LOVE!

We not only bring everything with us, but we coordinate with all of your vendors AND set it all up for you! So you, your bridal party and your family gets to sick back and enjoy your wedding day!

The lesson here, don’t settle, hire us to design your destination wedding! 💋
