Come help us set a world record! Calling all musicians! Be a part of history!

If all goes according to plan, a world record will be set in Owensboro later this month at the second annual "John Lanham Day" at Yellow Creek Park. Organizers Barry and Randy Lanham are attempting to set the Guinness World Record for the biggest bluegrass band.

And please help us thank our board members and these faces who volunteer every Friday to set up Friday After 5 in the morning and tear it down after the festivities - even produce the stages!
Dyan Gaunt Damron co-producer of the Romain Subaru | Evansville | Henderson | Owensboro Overlook stage and joins us to tear down each Friday! Starling Lambert- our President and the man who makes our Kroger Street Fair successful every week! We would be lost without him! How he makes it grow! You might also think you are seeing double when his twin brother Mark steps in to help. who always lends a hand every Friday morning with chairs and banners and then every night putting things away! By the way, she is a co-producer of the Overlook stage and works to make run like clockwork with Steve Bridgmon who pulls it together and produces the faith based nights! Mary Anne Steele our Vice President, who is there every Friday morning and night- setting up and tearing down- as a single mom, we are lucky when her two young sons come help out as well! The ultimate board member and friend- Dan Cooper- or as you may better know him as “Dan The Cannon Man” or “Coop”! Not only does he set up and tear down each week- but he works hard to find sponsors like Tony’s Golf Carts, Go Minis, and each week finds the sponsors for t-shirts that he shoots into the crowd with his cannon! Best, he brings his personal friends to come and help us set up each Friday morning! We would certainly be lost without him! Board member Cody Thomas who works at the Owensboro Convention Center, comes out when he gets a chance in between his own work to help set up! One of the favorites at you might recognize as the , Jennifer Lambert, board member and one of the most sought after volunteers for those red frame pictures each week!
This is the core of volunteers who make Friday After 5 happen each week! We love people who come out to help volunteer! They work hard along side us every chance they get! We look forward to seeing new faces to volunteer next season and have some fun committees we would like to bring back with your help! So many fun opportunities- so many great friends!

There are so many small businesses to thank who step up every week for 16 weeks on Friday nights! Artists, jewelers, crafters, face painters, balloon art, our lovely petting zoo by to name a few! Even our nonprofits who come out to share their mission with our community! A big thank you!

Let’s not forget our bands that come play each week on multiple stages! Thank you for our local musicians, and those that travel in from Evansville, Henderson, Rockport and Tell City, Louisville, Nashville and so many locations all around our region!

The businesses along the riverfront to participate each week- Lure Seafood and Grille, Hampton Inn, V.F.W. Post 696, SIP Owensboro, and now Goodwood Owensboro! Make sure you visit them during Fall and Winter!
