We are beyond proud opportunity to work with HopkinsLocal as they celebrated the success of their initiative to expand the economic impact they have through the four-pronged mission to "Build, Hire, Buy, Invest".

This initiative has resulted in the Johns Hopkins University and Johns Hopkins Health Plans spending $1.05 billion with Baltimore businesses since it's inception in 2015. Their goal is to achieve even more in the next 10 years than they did in the previous 10 years.

I would like to thank Codie Perry and Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses for recommending us to work on this important project. We are thrilled to be supporting our local Baltimore businesses, minority owned businesses and our fellow .

💥 We got to go into the ROOM WHERE IT HAPPENS, Room 27, otherwise known as the Marriott Innovation Lab!
💥 We got to explore the hotel brand collection prototype floor, floor 57 (Westin, Residence Inn, Element, Fairfield Inn, Moxy, Sheraton, Springhill Suites, Courtyard... ALL ON ONE FLOOR!)
💥 We discussed how to improve hotel rooms (saw rooms of the future), meeting and event space (windows!), F&B, and technology considerations as business travelers and event producers.
💥 We uncovered topics the Marriott team had never heard before. like the problems with staff tipping protocols, the real reasons why planners pick one property over another, and how important virtual tours are versus site visits.
💥 We asked hard questions to the Marriott team AND GOT ANSWERS! (Like why Pepsi over Coke? What/who does the service charge actually go to? And about that in-house A/V partner...)
💥 We were treated like royalty
💥 We had an amazing lunch in their employee cafeteria (imagine a really high end food court where world class chefs prepared your meals to order lunch experience)
💥 We met other event professionals who flew in from all over the country (Seattle, San Diego, Salt Lake City, Phoenix, Atlanta, Austin, Portland, Baltimore, Greenville, New York)
💥 We came back full of excitement about our working with Marriott Hotels!
